    Default Connecting DVD player to WiFi

    Hi, I'm trying to connect my Panasonic DVD player (model DMP-BDT380) to my WiFi so I can watch netflix.
    I want to do this through a wired connection because our wireless connection isn't great upstairs (the WiFi modem itself is downstairs, we have a booster upstairs). This is how my connection is set up:

    Our Unifi AP Long Ranger -wifi booster- connects to a switching mode power supply (?), which connects to one port within a TP link gigabit switch (?), which is connected to the powerpoint. Our DVD player is connected to another port within the TP link gigabit switch via an ethernet cable.

    When I test my wired network connection on the blu-ray dvd player, it says:
    "LAN cable connection - Pass
    IP address setting - Pass
    Connection to gateway - Fail
    Connection to the internet - Fail
    The IP address is only available within the home network. The internet functions are not available. Please check the hub and broadband router settings."

    Any ideas on what to do?? I've been trying to fix this problem for months
    Thanks in advance

    Default

    go into the menu and then network and manually assign
    the ip etc

    if your router is
    ip = 192.1.168.254
    subnet = 255.255.255.0

    in the blue ray set

    ip 192.168.1.xxx make sure its an ip not being used by anything else
    subnet 255.255.255.0
    gate way = 192.1.68.1.254
