Jammed overlocker

Does anyone know about the mechanicals of an overlocker ?
or should I say, who here is a sewing machine mechanic/technician ?

When you say jammed, what, exactly is jammed. Your statement is a bit like, my car won't go.

cut all the threads and slowly wind backwards by hand to clear bound threads make sure you havent bent a needle and then re thread , use scalpel to clear threads from work and bobbins don

Jammed overlocker was just the title of the post, not meant to be the description.
And you're right, it is a bit like saying my car won't go, but I couldn't be specific as I didn't know.
There were no threads involved, it was purely mechanical, I couldn't turn the flywheel knob any more than a couple of degrees either direction. Something was seized. All shafts, linkages etc are joined together to work together and have pretty much zero play so it was difficult to see exactly what was jammed, and I wasn't prepared to do too much disassembly for fear of putting the timing out.
Anyway, I still don't know where the jam was but I ended up applying a lot of force to the knob and it moved so I got some lube into it and it's fine now.
