Default Any Pink Floyd Fans ? Major new releases.

A major release this month with 2 box sets. I am admittedly only a "Dark Side Of The Moon" and beyond fan, and there are both early years and late years box sets.

The later years box set is what interests me. The "Delicate Sound Of Thunder" concert, which originally came out on VHS and then DVD, is in the box set remastered on Bluray. It has been very professionally changed from 4:3 to 16:9, and unlike the VHS and DVD which only have the "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" intro this has the previously unreleased full (all parts) version of the song.

From what I can see, you can only get it in the box set. I managed to find an .mkv copy on the Newsgroups, its a massive download at about 30 gig. I am watching it now, and there annoyingly appears to be a slight problem with the audio sync. I might have a crack at fixing it and converting it to .mp4 overnight.

There is also a re-edited version of Pulse, but wait, there is more. They have released the 1989 Venice concert as well as Knebworth 1990 !

I am near tempted to buy the box set but its about $350-$400 which is a bit out of my budget.

Actually I take back the comment about the audio sync. Its fine on my PC, but not fine on my MiBox 3. I'll encode it to mp4 anyway and see if that fixes things on the Mibox.

    #### a duck, Youtube allowed me to upload the first song. I reduced the quality, even at that it was a 500+meg upload.

It only shows up as 1.9 gig ? I would expect it would be massive in size.

EDIT : Definately all audio only, no videos of concerts. Still good if you are looking for all the audio titles.

A first ever...they are allowing all uploads from the remastered DSOT except for one song.

Do you have a Newsgroup account Hoe ? As I mentioned, Delicate Sound of Thunder is on there bluray rip to .mkv, its a big one at nearly 30 gb so not compressed. I would not be surprised if some people compress it and upload it, no doubt it will still look good but if you are a bit of a purist you wont want a compressed version.

Easynews has a free trial of 14 days/50 gb.

If anyone comes across the new version of Pulse (video not audio) and its not Bitorrent, give me a yell.

I'll upload it to my Onedrive account, not sure how long it will take as I am on 100/40 and get around 38 up. I'll upload the other audio collection that was available as well.
Edit : Upload started, at a guess it will be 2 . 5 hours.

Thanks admin, I'll keep an eye on ebay for the blurays.
    DVDs and vinyl already up.
If I can get them I'll do a few copies for premium members.

$550 is a bit steep when I just want the blu rays.

The 30 gb version is a direct bluray rip to .mkv
Presumably it could be burnt back to bluray, I havent burnt a disc for years. I rip them to mp4 and keep them all on a hard drive.

That rip has everything intact the same as the Bluray , all chapters and 2.0 and 5.1 audio.
