    Default Windows update

Windows just recently did a major update. I suspected it had done more than just the update when i noticed adds were beginning to appear on some apps
Checked my security settings and all had been closed were now opened
Surprised no one has mentioned this before but go back into settings and check!

Yep mine had 1903 running for months no problems, 1909 offered as an option a few days ago & since I was going out for the day I let it rip.
All good, nothing changed on my laptop except 1909 loaded successfully. Settings are exactly where I left them.
    Cheers, Tiny

Perhaps because it hasn't happened to anyone except you ? Run a scan on your likely infected computer as suggested.

Like Tiny, I am on 1909, all my settings are exactly as they always have been so no need to run off screaming in the night about unhackable Linux and Apple products
I think the internet would in fact be in meltdown if what you claimed was happening was actually happening.
