Also, would be good to see a comparison between natural mortality rates over years pre-covid compared to current rate.

Not sure the booster designed for Alfa strain is any good for Omicron.

I had two employees in my team out of ten taking sick leave after booster. Doesn't look good percentage-wise.
Gotta keep the fear going....a scared population is a pliant one. IMO, all resources should be devoted to the aged, and the rest take reasonable precautions and trust to luck. Stop the stupid economy destroying 7 day isolations and get this strain overwith.

Let the terrified closet livers stay there and lock their doors, f*ck'em...if you are too terrified to send your kids to school, don't. It could easily be argued that the current carriculum is only numbing their brains anyway, at the same time as teaching them to hate their own country.

4 days to my booster...I'll suck it and see.

I've had 4 employees boosted, 1 had to go to hospital, other one should have done. She's sick as a dog still.

Other 4 due by end of April, not good....

Seems like the cure is worse than the sickness.....

The trouble is that it's NOT a cure. It never was. It shouldn't have been called an immunisation in the first place. That is just a lie. It's a defence boost, that's all.

Again, it's all about fear. Do what you're told or Keyser Soze will get you.....

Unfortunately here in WA you can't work, go to a pub or restaurant, buy alcohol etc if you don't have a current Vax certificate and photo Id.

5/250k fines for individuals and businesses....

If I go to Perth area I must wear a mask in Kalgoorlie fot 2 weeks.

Police do spot checks to ensure compliance....

But have a break in etc. They will turn up next day or so and give you a report number for insurance ....

Yeah, well.....It's Mel Brooks level absurd, but the WA public voted for a dictatorship, and they've got it and all that goes with it.....as we will have federally in a few weeks.

My brother who is about 3 weeks retired from the mines is apalled....

Lots of people left the mines due to the mandate, now they are massively understaffed.....

Same in transport, nursing, well pretty much everywhere.....

There is a humorous side though, a certain section of the population carry no id , let alone a Vax certificate....

They can't buy alcohol in WA, so they hang around bottle shops offering money to people to buy it for them....

But that attracts a big fine as well...

No doubt they'll get an exemption soon, as it's 'racist'

Apartheid is alive and well in WA.... '

WA is going through what the east coast went through 5-6 months ago.

Supreme Leader Dan did nothing but delay the inevitable. Unfortunately WA is now stuck in bit of a time warp while the rest of the country (and world) has moved on.

If/when McClown decides to open WA borders he will be the main reason for prolonged Covid cases in Australia. We will see another wave, first hitting WA population and then bounced back to the east cost.

Had to go to the pathologist clinic for routine bloods (5 vials), and was chatting with the blood letter ~ the pfizer 2nd shoot caused her right knee to inflame (like arthritis), and after the booster shot she's developed blood clots in the fatty tissue surrounding the peritoneum ....and she's plenty pissed about it all, having been a RN for all her working life, now serving out the last years of her vocation as a vampire <grin>,,,and never having contracted anything, from anyone in her care over that same time, and she -has- to be vaccinated to work at her job -- don't worry, she kept a steady hand through the entirety of her little rant...

...she went out on a tangent, that I hadn't really considered -- *all* deaths in Queensland, regardless of cause, are registered with the Queensland Government Statistician's Office...doh!, (I'm a dumb qunt at times, I should've thought of that)...but in my defense I was trying to make sense of 'real time numbers' wrt the number of covid deaths, and didn't think to look at historical data....but that's ok, the number I really want will be released this coming September 30, and that will give a handle on cumulative death for the year 2021.....but just looking at the past decade...

How does one read data like that? Keep the ppl in lockdown resulted in less deaths in 2020?...or is it the more obvious natural deviation in numbers exampled, before any pandemic was evident? Lets see when Sept 30 comes around.

She also related the story of the brouhaha she needed to go through to get an MRI on her knee...proof of vaccination, QR code registered, RAT test....just for a MRI ~ I'm schedule for a BM MRI in March, and there's nothing on the appointment form stipulating these requirements...so I better ask them aforehand whether or not I need to get the procedure rescheduled to the radiology clinic out here, where they don't give a shit whether you're vaccinated or not.

Blood clots....FFS, when I think of the irrational and hysterical panic certain members of this board demonstrated as regards to Astra Zeneca and the 0.0005% likelihood, I dunno whether to laugh or cry at their stoopidity...

the only reason I think MRI clinic might ask for vaccination proof is they collect statistic data in case vaccine triggered the cloth. I doubt they refuse to see the patient based on vaccination.
That is what I believe but if reality is different that clinic should be dealt with via legal proceedings.

Nurses are required to be vaccinated for a wide range of diseases to assist in reducing them both contracting and spreading illnesses. Failure to be vaccinated means they are not permitted to undertake their duties. This has been happening forever and a day.

I fail to see why some nurses think they shouldn’t be vaccinated against Coronavirus, especially when (according to their own unions) this virus has stressed hospital systems beyond their limits in a way that has never been seen by any illness before.

probably because every day they see that the vaccine does bugger all to stop people getting covid/spreading it/being hospitalised....

and they see the high percentage of adverse reactions, which are hushed up......

I felt a bit knocked about two days after the pfizer booster, after initially having no reaction. BUT, I can't say it was the booster because I just don't know.

Interested in the stats I did a quick calc based on numbers linked to above compared with population growth. According to bureau of stats avg QLD growth is 20% PA. avge death rate is 3.48% (since QLD began) and over the course of the pandemic is only 1.56%

    Worth thinking about!
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
