Booked the new car in today for it's MULTIPLE recalls.
answered all the usual questions and then the guy says ' Can I ask you a few questions about your recent activities? WTF??

Have you been os in the last 14 days?
Have you come into contact with someone with Covid 19?
Do you have a cough or any flu like or other poor health Symptoms?
Do you currently have any known infections or diseases?

Geez, when mechanics and stealerships start going on with this to service a car..... things must be serious!
I should have asked them the same about the loan car they are giving us for 2 days while the fix the problems with ours.

-IF- the virus is killed off by the sun, all you need to do is park your car outside for a while and the sun and heat ought to sterilise it pretty good.

Well, here and everywhere tourist related business and accom have suffered 1000's of Cancellations in bookings
I spoke to guy from Port Douglas that dropped $150,000 in one day from cancellations.
    Heaps here also

Then add Booking dot com etc portals and all the mess that has created

It hadn't even dawned on me, until tonight, how many have cancelled thier AFL team memberships for a full refund
    This must be hurting them
The year should be canceled, it's only a matter of time until a team member is tested at positive, then it's all out the window.
    Typical AFL, so arrogant

There is a major problem comparing Singapore and Australia.
It is a tiny close knit place where everything is very well organised and controlled and a high percentage of the population can be tested.
They have planned their isolation hospitals for years, having lots of negative pressure rooms and are capable of keeping all of their tested positive in such rooms.

Here it is nothing of the kind, the virus is out in the wild, a very large wild.

    So ScoMo stop comparing.
Children are not symptomatic. That means that they can be carriers but won't be tested here, so the virus can still be passed on to others in schools where social distancing is impossible.

Post on another board I look at from a well known regular:

We here are not very well and need some light relief, as my youngest and me have the virus 19. And France is in lockdown,

Had it about a week, boy got it at school about 12 days ago, schools closed here in France 7 days ago.

Boy had very bad flu symptoms 6 days ago for about 36 hours.

Me, suffered Flu for 3 days, coughing wheezing spitting up gunk, heavy aching chest, streaming nose, cant clench a fist and weak as a kitten, etc etc.
    NOT NICE.
We both are normally relatively healthy but the virus keeps coming back. Yesterday I felt well and looks like a recovery. Today I feel like sh.t coughing and streaming nose again.

Seems like it can re infect. May not get it once but multiple times. That could be the killer for a lot of people.

The news articles are paywalled, but there's an enterprising motel owner in Toowoomba offering "self isolation packages". They'll deliver three meals a day to your room and offer unlimited WiFi + Netflix.

Sounds like a great break from the daily grind to me.

Not trying to be funny, but if alcohol wipes and sanitiser kills Bacteria and Viruses , Would not putting alcohol into ones blood stream help combat the Virus?

I have said for many years, a Good straight slug of booze helps me with a cold and I'm not just talking in the moment but rather unquestionably later on with reduced symptoms the next day.
No biologist but if you can put an antiseptic into the body/ bloodstream, would that not help?

I have bought quite a lot of electronic components and chips from china lately and have been getting very timely delivery, a few things this week turned up much sooner than I was expecting based on normal delivery times.

Friend ordered some Circuits board week before last after getting notification the factory was back open.
Things were made and on his doorstep exactly one week after he ordered them.

So there is a light at the end of the tunnel, let's hope the government here has acted soon enough to avert the tragedy that has beset Italy.
