And Belgium with more deaths per million than anywhere in the world!

China just admitted the death toll is 50% higher. The staff were overwhelmed and didn't keep stats.. /cough bs

The shit fight that's going on in the US is unbelievable. Especially Trump v's the Governor of New York Andrew Cumao. Trump and his 3 stage back-to-work plan is going to cause all sorts of problems. Very concerning. Economics 101 has gone out the window..

Not just the US, Africa not real happy either
They just don't have the same leverage
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!
Trump cares for those who are WORTH caring for most.

The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

Gotta love the situation in Tasmania. As an island State, Tas should have been showing other states how it is done. Instead we have more infected people per capita than any other state.
One Ruby Princess passenger admitted to a public hospital... and due to incompetent infection control, that hospital became the source of a major outbreak. Apparently staff didn't have enough PPE (knowing the public hospital system, that's no surprise and what they did have was probably being hoarded/corralled in Hobart). Anecdotal evidence suggests some clinical staff weren't even washing their hands - they took the approach "it'll hit Hobart first, so we don't have to worry about it yet".
Staff members were being moved between all three NW Coast hospitals - one infected staff member recently worked in all three hospitals and also also in THREE nursing homes. WTF! A month ago, office workers in local finance businesses were having movement between floors in the same building restricted to avoid transmission and we have infected clinicians freely moving between multiple hospitals and nursing homes!
The monumental stuff up here exposes the incompetence of the local public health system. I'd say there should be an inquiry into it, but if they did have one, some innocent, hard working staff member would be blamed and hung out to dry, while the real offenders get away as they always do. /rant

An interesting article on the Carnival Cruise Line (owners of the Ruby Princess and many others)...
No surprise that the founder of the cruise line is mates with Trump and Carnival sponsored The Celebrity Apprentice. Also:
Since 2016 the company has failed 3% of CDC ship health inspections—three times worse than rival Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., which fails 1% of inspections.

Amazing how many Billions State and Federal Government has found for COVID-19
Yet they couldn't find a few dollars to pay our volunteer firefighters during the summer fires across 3 states
Not that many asked for it, but they did suffer 4 to 6 weeks off work to fight for this country
And now, on top of that, there will a percentage out of work due to COVID-19 or at least impacted on.

Decided to read this afternoon ->
You can find it for free download if you search around ; worth it for the perspective.
[QUOTE=george65;822047]I also read and believe this. I mentioned it to a friend last night and he said he couldn't find anything supporting that. I went looking as well and couldn't find things I'm sure I saw before. They seem to have been pulled. Everything I can find now says it was from the wet markets.

Great interview with Catherine Austin about covid-19 in the Link below. The experts are saying we have entered a major downturn in share prices - so maybe physical gold and silver are a good store of value.
I think Gold and Silver will go higher this year. Central Banks are buying gold and there has been manipulation of the gold price - depressing the price. Fun times ahead!!!
This should almost be in the joke section.... housemate is trying to chase up a delivery that's now 5weeks late, and tracking shows it did actually hit aussie shores 5weeks ago. So this is AustPost's problem -- he gets on the blower, trundles through all the autovoice prompts, and finally gets to the spoken line .."Due to the covid-19 situation, and to ensure our staff safety, we are only handling cases that are medical emergencies, or, those requiring passports"... who the frig would ring austpost during a medical emergency? who needs a passport right now? ...ffs... =)
Yeah, same with a lot of company's you try contacting by phone atm.. Had to call Telstra who have the same automated voice prompts and at the end they advise you to use their webpage to contact them.. waste of time.. The Chat button ain't working - even say's "Temporally Not Working".
COVID-19 tracking: Australian company has the tech ready to go

So it seems the govt. is trying to reinvent the wheel with their own app..
