I drove through the town today and was surprised how Busy it was. People everywhere and busier than normal.

I think people are not as much fed up with being locked up rather that there just hasn't been the danger and risk that everyone was lead to believe there would be.
If people were dropping like flies then you can bet people would be shit scared and would be happy to stay home but when it's all amounted to a big nothing here really, you can't blame people for reacting proportionally to the reality of the situation.

Now that all the restrictions are being relaxed, I see all the emphasis is on social distancing. I hear no mention of washing or sanitising hands and this is equally if not more important. If Jan blogs at the cafe isn't sanitising or washing the table thoroughly that you're having your skinny half decaf latte at well you could be picking up the virus there even though you're 1.5m from the nearest person!

Nice idea but the kids cash wont go far in Australian venues, then there are the laws and the cops of the Australian police state regime. What say their parents control the little buggers in the first place.

Not the end of Bali, just bad for the bars and dives around Legian/Kuta, obviously that drop the cash flow will pass into the villages where bar workers ect in that area come from. Outside that area not so much an issue.

Aussies forget when they come to Bali they are ambassadors for Australia and are being compared with Europeans and North Asians and they are not known for their spending power either. Now if the Europeans, North Asians, and the bus loads of local tourists don't comeback it will be devastating further out in other areas and in fact island wide.

Last I heard there was no plan to allow immigration arrivals till September, I expect until the situation in Java running at 400 plus new cases a day improves that is not likely to change even though only 4 fatals and 100 active cases in Bali today.
