I think that was if they refused entry if you don't have the app, in this case they didn't refuse entry.
The business is just doing what is required for tracking & tracing.

Yeah, that's it, was a while ago now......
I guess it's all ass covering now

you can’t refuse entry, employment, service, purchase or sale on the grounds that someone doesn’t have the CovidSafe app.
But, if that is the case and you also refuse to give your personal details, does that mean you have been refused service because you don't have the App?

    Personally, i'd choose Take Away.
I'm really enjoying our local Pubs and Restaurants here offering Take Away meals.

    Vaccine success in the USA.
A coronavirus vaccine trial based in the US will now be expanded to hundreds of people after it worked in eight patients.

One of the first COVID-19 vaccine to be tested in humans was able to simulate an immune response against the virus, according to its US based manufacturer Moderna.

Eight healthy volunteers were given two doses of the vaccine from March.

The vaccine was able to produce virus-fighting antibodies that were similar or greater than those found in patients who had recovered.

It was able to stop the virus replicating.

Doesn't News dot com dot au announce a Vaccine one day, then no hope of a Vaccine for 12 months + the next day?
Kind of in-line with thier news reporting of the Real Estate Market. Boom one day, Bust the next like a broken record.

Good News though. I guess there is still a 12-18 months trial period before being ready for public release.

Australia's decision to call for an independent inquiry into the origins of COVID-19 has pissed off China.
It will now set an 80 per cent tariff on Australian barley, effectively crippling exports to the lucrative Chinese market, which in 2018 was worth $1.5 billion.

Coincidence ??? Retaliation ??? Is this the start of a trade war with China ?

We could easily respond by re-possessing all of Chinese assets in Aust. Starting with the ports.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

No trade war as we will hopefully not be too stupid to retaliate.
ScoMo' mouth was a bit too Trumporian although he is right, just should have been more diplomatic and not stand up alone like a bully to get more 'likes' from his fans.
China just laughs at his efforts and uses the barley thing as a sign of what we might expect if he continues.
Now it looks like China will accept an investigation with the somewhat questionable WHO.
ScoMo should have quietly first approached other countries to work out a truly independent investigation board that could have put China under pressure.

Our biggest worry would be China blocking our iron ore exports.
Luckily (for us) China's only alternative source of cheap high quality ore(required for their processing plants) is Brazil but they are in no position to replace us after the Vale mines catastrophe and now 3rd worst in CoVid, totally out of control with a corrupt government.

So we don't have to take any bully talk from China in that respect, shareholders know that and FMG is currently in breathtaking all times high.

They may try as it's pioneering tech that they are using.

Timing looks a little suspicious though.

President Trump said last week that a vaccine would be available before the end of this year. His prediction was supported by Moncef Slaoui, the newly appointed leader of Operation Warp Speed, the administration’s effort to speed vaccine development. At a briefing last week, Mr. Slaoui, a former member of Moderna’s board of directors who resigned when he took up his new government post, said he had seen preliminary research data that convinced him that a vaccine could be created by the end of the year. He did not identify the data.

Also on Monday, Caitlin Oakley, a spokeswoman for the Department of Health and Human Services, confirmed that Mr. Slaoui would divest his Moderna stock options, valued at about $10 million, on Tuesday morning. Ms. Oakley added that Mr. Slaoui would donate to cancer research the increased value his shares had accrued from last Thursday until Tuesday’s sale. The share price closed at $80 on Monday, up from $64.56 last Thursday, adding $2.4 million to the value of his options.

At a round table with restaurant executives at the White House on Monday, Mr. Trump said, “This was a very big day, cure wise and vaccine wise,” and noted that the markets were lifted by drug news.

Moderna produced the vaccine in collaboration with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the institute that is headed by Dr. Anthony Fauci and has been leading the clinical trials. Part of the National Institutes of Health, the agency is involved in research on other experimental coronavirus vaccines. Moderna and Johnson & Johnson have each received roughly half a billion dollars from the U.S. government, to speed development of a vaccine.

The people vaccinated in Moderna’s Phase 1 study described on Monday were healthy volunteers ages 18 to 55. Their immune systems made antibodies that were then tested in infected cells in the lab, and were able to stop the virus from replicating — the key requirement for an effective vaccine. The levels of those so-called neutralizing antibodies matched or exceeded the levels found in patients who had recovered after contracting the virus in the community.

Vaccine research is supposed to be shared world wide, not just exclusive for one or two companies that earn billions as I am strongly assuming it will play out in Trumpland:

Hope the Aussie version gets the tick. We have been leading in the past with flu vaccines.

yep there are 2 things the majority of the world would be hoping for

    1 = a cure

2 = that the usa dont get it first

if they find it first he will bleed and the world of everything they have for it
and use it as a bargaining chip

Actually, stupid retaliation is exactly how we should play it. It's easy to get mad and you can argue with stupid but stupid will always think it is right.
So the only way to respond to stupid is with more stupid.

This is why yo'all need trash as your dictator.

Guvna Trash responds to the Chinese tarrif on Barley by putting a 1000% import duty on fortune cookies.
Guvna trash was reported as saying, "If they think we're going to tolerate harsh trade sanctions to cover up their own corruption then we will respond in kind with trade sanctions on the import of fortune cookies. Hit them where it really hurts."

This isn't a joke strategy, it's a real strategy and one that should actually be used. Can you imagine the hysterical laughter of all the nations of the world laughing with us at China. That level of embarrassment to the Chinese government will hurt them far more than any real trade sanctions.

And you can expect the Chinese to double down on stupid.
If they respond, then our next announcement will be: "Australian government have given approval for commercial farming of tigers and export of tiger products including the lucrative tiger penis market with the biggest customer expecting to be Taiwan. When questioned about the ethics of farming tigers, guvna Trash was quoted as saying, 'We thought the Chinese would be our biggest customers, but it turns out the Chinese government has put trade sanctions on tiger penis because the didn't want anybody to think they might need tiger penis soup because they have a small dicks'. "

It's the way real way to hurt them. Humiliate them in front of the rest of the world and keep doing it until Donald Trump asks us to stop because it hurts now when he laughs.
Yes I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.

I like the idea of breeding tigers, although for other reasons than mentioned but we should produce the fortune cookies ourself and export them all over the world for dumping prices, way below China's rate and claim: We make much better 'fortune'. Chinese fortune: Bad fortune, gives you Corona Virus.

Everybody on jobseeker-keeper whatever gov payment must make them at home(or they lose the payment), a $49 printer for the messages can be supplied, a 5 minute YT how-to video and away they go.
Add our weak AU$ rate and we have a serious addition to our iron ore exports and the Covid subsidies could suddenly pay out.
Of course they will be banned in mainland China but HK and Taiwan and the rest of the world will be laughing when they can get them so cheap from AU while they boycott China.
When I say laughing I mean that literally as the 'fortune' messages will actually be naughty Aussie jokes instead.

I was just thinking this, this morning.... China owns 9.1 Million Hectares of Australia + all the Business and Residential property
Declare a State of Emergency and Compulsory Acquire the land back and use the money as a deposit to help pay for the China Flu expenses.
    Darwin Harbour and the Airport.
Then there is our exports, Iron Ore, Cattle, Milk and Dairy Products.

Trouble is, this is feud over nothing!
As nothing will be discovered or found, it's just a the "Weapons of Mass Destruction" hunt all over again.... A total waste of time and money.
The truth will be covered up, the CCP will set up someone to take the drop and wipe thier hands clean.
And all the world's Governments will "look" like they tried.... All just one big PR campaign.

Any aggravation now will only serve to harm us. China are too advanced in the silent war to try and muscle them now.

The real concern is our Politicians should be investigated for treason when they make and allow laws to sell off this Country.
Time for us to find other markets. Maybe non communist markets.

End of the Day, the true origins of the Corona Virus will never be known. Not while the world has to deal with a communist Country.
And even if they could pinpoint it, so what... We gonna fine them? Or is this just a learning exercise?

The point they "China" tried to cover it up is already out there, what more does anyone need to know?
You can probably add our own Government in the pot for such late action after blind freddy was calling for International Arrivals to be holtted 3 weeks prior to when they finally did.

When I bored I watch all Satellite tv's so what do I do is turn on all decoders that feeds all the 9 Monitors with different channels (Audio turned off) + I have the Main TV using the Ultimo 4K box that give me 4 picture in pictures one with Audio so when something that I spot that looks interesting it take me a second or two to send it to my main TV that I have Audio and can record it if needed. Early this year I was watching on one of the Monitors I think Chinsat 6B or 6A watching CCTV 9 (English Channel) and they showed a picture of Australian outline (Remember No audio) and when I turn it to the main tv for audio I got the End and the end was a Chinese lady was talking to another about the reason why China has spend big in all the Military and the answer was they have spent big to protect China and at the same time PROTECT THE INTEREST THAT CHINA OWNS ABROAD. this bit Concerned me.
Now you know why I asked the question on another thread that we should invite the US Pacific Fleets to live in Darwin Harbour..
I wonder if the Idiots of this country know this.
