Wow, new lows in sourcing material about our own country...dailymail.co.uk.... everyone mentioned above, rich&famous or not, is subject to this --> ...long read, don't skimp =)

However, in short, mostly everyone can come to Qld, provided you're rich enough to pay for your own quarantine in isolation, if you fall into that group of people of which such is required ; although keep the BS and politically centered hype coming -- it's fascinating study.

Most Australian links are paywalled....difficult to get to, and you know it.

Nothing politically motivated either, just what is happening...and who is responsible....

You politically rationalise the situation however you like.....that's fine.....

No, I don't know either why the family didn't delay the funeral for a few days. However I do know that plenty are trying to make capital out of this for political reasons.

The fact that she is from Canberra in itself does not guarantee that she was free from the virus at the time, as has been shown on other occasions, it does take some period of time after contact and a negative test for the virus to show up if infection has occurred.

A possible example could have been that a visitor from a hotspot in Sydney came to Canberra and casual contact occurred by sitting at the next table in a coffee shop. This is why a 14 day isolation period is mandated.

I agree with Enf, letting in those other people with money and influence was an abomination, I don't believe it had anything to do with winning an election, I just believe that they have so much power and money that doing otherwise would have been a disaster. That said they did require a covid safe plan from them, which so far seems to have worked. Remember those rich people who sailed up on a boat were fined and forced into isolation because they broke the plan put in place for them by going ashore on the way.

not flimsy at all, it's fact. We're all in this together so NSW should have a little more faith in the ability of Vic gov to lock down Melb, which they have. The numbers at Vic border towns have been pretty much zero for a number of months. So really there was no need to close the border.

Rubbish...Victorians have been sneaking across, sneaking under and sneaking over the borders in all states since day one. Faith in the Vic government? Jeez...that's rich...ooops bad description, the rich just buy their way into Qld. Just today we learn that the Victorian Chief Health Officer has been shut out of decision making by bureaucrats in the government.

As for the curfew that nobody ordered, what the f*ck is with that..............?? not the premier, not the cops, not Sutton....

....and aren't the junkies exempt? They can go shoot up in Richmond any time they like can't they? Woketoria is seemingly being run by unelected public servants.

Faith in the Victorian government.......PLEASE Leroy.....it's a cluster f*ck. The ONLY mob that could possibly be worse are the silent opposition......who knows WHAT they stand for....

Now I fully agree that regional Victorians should be exempt, but they'ed have to prove that.....dunno how actually. Have to have an "open boot" policy so the cars are fully checked for stowaways.

The World Bank’s COVID-19 Strategic Preparedness and Response Program documents, marked “For Official Use Only,” identify the Bank’s COVID-19 program as ending in March 2025, more than four years away from our current date.
The program’s start date was April 2020.

mustn't be too many from Vic here as there aren't too many comments! Dictator Dan must be smoking the crack he allows at the injecting rooms in Richmond after the announcement he made today regarding step 2 restrictions. In regional Vic where I live we have like 0.6 average case numbers now. Melb is 22.1. Numbers have gone down the entire time but face shields, bandanna's, etc are now not acceptable and we have to use proper face masks now???
I went to a restaurant in regional Vic last night. You have to wear your face mask walking there and back but in there you take it off and sit at tables with other hobbos in the restaurant at other tables with no masks? WTF??
Our cases in regional vic are so low I can't understand the restrictions. Even Melb now I feel the grip is too right. I feel for you guys down there big time.

Dunno why you're surprised. Boris Johnson had a tripling of his approval rating coming out of hospital. It didn't last long though....

Just watching a clip of the Vic health minister talking about lifting restrictions if they get down to 5 cases a day.

Wasn't the idea to " Flatten the curve"?
5 cases in 6.7M people would be like having a road 6.7 Km long that had a 5mm difference in height along it's entire length.

How much fking flatter they want it?

Does anyone really believe this is about a Virus anymore?

i fn don't know what it's all about now. Destroying peoples livelihoods, lives, families with these extended restrictions come to mind. I know 2 families where the partners decided to separate last week. Couldn't believe what I was hearing as we found out over consecutive days!

That's sad Leroy, although becoming increasingly common.

It's a power trip, regardless of the health and well being of the people. As well as a snow machine exercise to cover the tracks of all ministers and pubes involved.

    A f*cking desgrace.

Everyone hopes that happens. Listening to Brett Satan today's press conference I am no longer dead certain. He mentioned maybe 10km will be new rule.
