You Can No Longer Eat In-Store At KFC’s Across The Country Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

They are also taking additional actions in all restaurants during the coronavirus outbreak which include:

    – All team members will undergo compulsory COVID-19 training on increased safety measures and hygiene standards so we can continue to serve customers safely
    – Compulsory use of hand sanitiser after every cash transaction
    – Increased frequency of handwashing, above industry standard
    – Encouraging customers to use cashless payment options
    – Expanded restaurant health and hygiene procedures
    – Trialling a ‘kerbside service’ where restaurant team members will deliver click and collect orders to the carpark

CEO for KFC Australia and New Zealand, Nikki Lawson said in a statement about the changes that they are necessary to ensure the safety of customers and their team members during these uncertain times.

“The health and wellbeing of our customers, team members and the community are the number on priority,” she said.

“We have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and know that social distancing is key to minimising the spread of the disease which is why we’re making a few changes. While we’ve temporarily suspended eating-in at our restaurants, fans of KFC will still be able to come in to order, but only to pick-up and use drive-thru.

“Ordering through the KFC App and Delivery through our partners will be business as usual and are great options for convenient and contact free ordering.”

They may not be the cheapest but the stuff they have is great and we get a lot of stuff there anyway. Mrs said all the hot bread shops have plenty for sale even if the supermarkets have none.
Thats happened here. I have been able to find some stuff at smaller stores. I always just look to see the paper situation and everywhere there is none. Fruit and veg are still ok, although the frozen goods at the mains are fairly thin.

KFC stands for "Keep Fvcking Clear". I prefer food to chemical spakfilla.

Having said that, I'll confess I have always had a soft spot for their coleslaw. Tastes great to me even if it's an enriched chemical soup. NOTHING bad could survive in there.

    Now here,s a thought !!!!
It is known that the virus hates sun light , ok
so to get it really pissed off, so why not stand outside in the sun with your mouth open so the sun shines down your throat but to get it in line you need to remove your trousers and place a mirror on the ground to get the alignment correct when you see the sun in the mirror you are in the correct position hold that for about an hour ensuring you keep 1.5 meters away from all others trying the same exercise . Any one else have more to add to the theory welcome to join in

    Me too.
Wifes family's Birthdays are coming up. Always a crook turn at the best of times. Having to go multiple occasions in a couple of months only makes it worse. Now I finally have an excuse she can't argue with for me staying home.

After all, my health is compromised with my diabetes so I do have to be extra careful! :0)

Tasmanian borders now closed, anyone entering Tasmania from interstate or overseas by plane or boat.

All non-essential travellers arriving in Tasmania will be forced to quarantine for two weeks under coronavirus border measures dubbed the toughest in the country.

Premier Peter Gutwein declared a state of emergency for the island on Thursday.

"We are going to introduce the toughest border measures in the country. Only essential travellers will be allowed into Tasmania without going into quarantine," he told reporters.

The measures come into effect from midnight on Friday but won't apply to health care workers, emergency workers, defence personnel, air and ship crew, specialists, and essential freight personnel.

"We know that for some it will create disruption, but our aim is to ensure that we protect the health, wellbeing and safety of Tasmanians," Mr Gutwein said.

All passengers will be screened on arrival and must demonstrate they meet the essential traveller criteria.
If they are deemed non-essential, they will be directed to quarantine at their stated place of address.

People who breach quarantine could be fined up to $16,800.

Three new virus cases were confirmed on Wednesday night, taking the state total to 10, although there has been no evidence of local transmission.

    Cheers, Tiny

    Coronavirus timeline:

    - January 19: 100 cases
    - January 24: 1,000 cases
    - January 28: 5,000 cases
    - February 12: 50,000 cases
    - March 6: 100,000 cases
    - March 14: 150,000 cases
    - March 18: 200,000 cases

I wonder what it'd be in 1 months time - seems to double every 4-5 days. Maybe a Recovered chart would be interesting.

    Worrying Article:

Chinese medical experts on the front line of the battle to contain the outbreak warned that recovered patients may still carry the virus and be contagious.

Went shopping this morning. someone asked me what I thought about all this coronavirus stuff - I replied, looking down at my left foot "Kicked my toe a couple of weeks back, hurt like hell - do you reckon it's ok? Kinda looks a little bent to me?"

I see our dollar has taken a big tumble, 55 cents AUD against the US dollar. Luckily we are hosted in the US <insert roll eyes gif>
The reserve bank has also just slashed interested rates to .25%........that's it, what do we cut after that ? 0.05% at a time ? Or how about credit card interest rates ? Banks have been gouging the public for too long with them.

In some countries it's below zero... Basically there paying you to borrow money. /well sort of

Shame the Oz markets don't respect the interest rate drop. It should have worked, but was predicted it wouldn't.

Can't answer the CCard query as I haven't owned a Credit Card since my 1st marriage, or was it my second.. lol

No they don't pay us to lend money. They charge you to have money on the bank and with the ban on cash(likely soon for purchases even under 10k) there is no where else to put it unless you have trust in the US$, which those morons who are panic selling their shares at big loss are currently doing apparently. Well there is still bullion but most are ignoring that.

I keep getting reports that in China it seems to be basically over.
Wuhan 0 new cases, rest of China with a population of 1.3 Billion only 34 and less than today's 40 in NSW alone.
Yeah I know grain of salt, blah, blah but if there is one thing I know about communism it is that they are very tight and controlling.
So if they are claiming to lift the lockdown in 2 weeks and it could soon be more or less business as usual, then we must keep a very close eye on that!

That would prove that Wuhan's early full lockdown works and all we would have to do is let everybody (except the meds and critical supply workers) have a 2 month break and the economy might just get away with a cough and a few sneezes..

Of course our gov thinks nothing of that and when we finally get the inevitable full lock down it will be far too late and hello Italy but all through our entire flu season(theirs is now ending), so a lot worse.
    Bye bye Economy for years.

Good one ScoMo and Dutton and go hunt down those few nasty people who are selling hoarded goods to those who are stupid enough to pay premiums for them. That is really important right now to solve all our problems.
It is actually called free market, obviously the reason why they are not banning short selling stocks, which is costing investors hundreds of Billions but yeah go after those few pennies instead.
