Buy cheap and pay often, - there is no substitute for stupidity.
You wipe your bum after each crap, why don't you clean your teeth after every meal?
There is no shame in being uneducated nor in being stupid.
The true shame lies in knowing that you are and doing nothing about it.
Only the living worry about dying.
To the tobacco addicts - Smoke more and die sooner, so I can breathe fresh air. Thank you.

Sorry if I take that slightly out of context but that statement is the 'crux of the biscuit' of what I am talking here.
It is a mentality thing that I could never accept in Australia: "She'be right, mate"
Not for me!
That was never good enough.
I ALWAYS have a plan B ...even C and I expect the leaders of our country to have the same, especially when there is a known crisis, to think ahead and for example not rely on one vaccine like Scomo did.
Even the mask issue is largely ignored. There is not one person using a so called surgical mask that does not let the virus freely in and out beside their nose when they breath. You might as well not wear a mask at all for Omicron unless you use a fully sealed certified P2 mask, but nobody cares (OK they are a bit tight and uncomfortable but Painters wear them all day).
So we just get all sick and everything collapses.
Gonna be a lot more fun when the schools in NSW open in 10 days.
I don't give a rats because I ALWAYS have 3 months of TP , 8 week course of antibiotics and Advil(totally crazy why ppl want to use Paracetamol for this), cartons of long life milk and fish tins, 3 kegs of beer and plenty ingredients to prep more ... blah, blah.
... but our wonderful government keeps a stock pile of barely 2 weeks of diesel (which this country runs on)
Verdict: Not good enough, humans were given a brain but most hardly use it to think ahead.
As an engineer it was my job to think ahead and perceive every possibility of what could go wrong and have a backup system or solution ready.

I'm in unfamiliar territory here. I find myself agreeing with most of this.
However, you defeat your own argument by knowing that the vast majority won't think and therefore won't prepare. At least get a decent mask. I look at what most people wear and think of how useless they are. Young and middle age people seem more interested in how the masks look, rather than their functionality.
Get basic long life supplies and salt them away. Some vitamins. Get certified P2 filters and a snugly fitting mask. Yes, they are uncomfortable at times but we on the eastern seaboard have had a couple of solar minimum summers with lower temperatures so it's not too bad.
And yeah, the penchant for paracetamol is a worry...

TP? haven't bought any in over twelve months.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Brother retired from the mines in WA on Friday. Flew into Perth and went shopping.....no TP to be found in ANY supermarket around his area. None.
Any other sandgropers have this happen? And no, not the retirement...

I have no kids here now, but I had six...we have always had a large supply anyway.
