My son is in NSW at the moment and not sure he can get home to Perth.

Next visit to Kalgoorlie, I will buy you a beer.
I missed meeting you last time I was there.

I've applied for a g2g pass to return from a proposed trip to tassie next month.
Looks like even if I do get it, I'll have to isolate for 2 weeks.

    No way

...not yet mate, unless they mean burn the surgical rubbish shown in the image and replace with P2, N95 or K95 (if you trust Asians).

On the topic of free RATs for school kids, I picked ours up pretty late(hoping to avoid the crowd) but I was alone and saw only three other parents did too on the A4 size list.
The test is not compulsory but with all the talk about these test being so hard to get and ppl being highly overcharged for them, I find this surprising.

Finally can get my Moderna on Thursday (what I wanted all along) so I might have at least bit of protection from the upcoming school epidemic.

Fester, be interested to see how that booster goes...Moderna knocked my youngest son for six (off work for 3 days), and he's as fit as a mallee bull. I get fizzer on the 12th.
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

I will let you know tomorrow (hopefully).
Currently not feeling any discomfort at all while my wife already complains about a sore arm. Two of my mates said they had a bad arm for a few days.
When I had my first AZ the nasty side effects started in the night and knocked me off for two days.

My youngest son(15y/o) felt nothing after both Moderna shots a few months ago.

As promised an update on the reactions from the Moderna booster: no symptoms for me whatsoever.
However my wife isn't doing so well. Bad sleep, dizziness and nausea, lack of appetite, some headache, still sore arm and consequentially a bad mood.

On top of that a classmate of my son has already tested positive, therefore as per Perrotet's master plan the whole class will be infected in the next few days.
I was hoping for a 2 weeks grace period until the booster kicks in but that is now off the table.

I just had the Moderna booster, half an hour ago....
So far so good, will let you know in a day or so.

    Edit: 10/2/2022
Only a sore arm at the injection site the day after the booster, nothing else.

Hope you guys fair better than me with Moderna booster.

First couple of days... barely a thing, just a a tad sore at the injection site...then around 5 days after... trainwreck!

Fever, chills, vomiting, headache, everything ached, etc.

If this is what we get to avoid/lessen the virus... I'd hate to experience the virus itself.

    Sorry to hear that.
Did you do a RAT test? That sounds more like you got the virus.

My ex-mil has just got over the virus, she is in an aged care facility.
She is 86 and was asymptomatic although she had a bit of a croaky voice, other than that she's fine.

In our small regional town (65k pop) there are usually 2 reported Covid deaths daily, today 3.
Considering NSW has a population of around 8 million but an of average 20 deaths are reported recently (today 18) something doesn't stack up, by at least an order of magnitude.

Sounds like your town is over represented. going by the 'average' state figures.

sounds like every death is being reported as a 'covid' death.....

had another employee go down with after effects of pfizer booster......

first one had to go to hospital, headaches/chills, swollen legs....

their response ? you have to have a pcr test and isolate for 7 days till we get a result.
but i told you its a reaction to the booster, what about a rat test then ?
rat tests are for emergency use only....you and your husband will have to isolate for 7 days and have a pcr test.

employee and her husband walked out.....

thats wa health service for you.......

If not for Covid people would live forever.

Yet to see any sensible statistic data showing hospitalised people grouped by their vaccination status, underlying health problems etc.
Also, would be good to see a comparison between natural mortality rates over years pre-covid compared to current rate.

Not sure the booster designed for Alfa strain is any good for Omicron.

I had two employees in my team out of ten taking sick leave after booster. Doesn't look good percentage-wise.
