I got to say, it all appears Hypocritical to me.

If people can't go to the beach or fishing or what ever, Why in the Fk are they still allowed to crowd into trains and busses to go to work? Why are people still allowed to get into aircraft and fly around, Including 34 Foreign planes from 6 am to 8:30 into Sydney this morning.

It makes no sense at all and I'm sure for anyone fined would make a good argument in court about the hypocrisy of it.
It's so half arsed atm it's ridiculous.

There's some serious bureaucratic insanity starting here.

They've closed the Tasmanian National Parks and reserves. I live near a reserve, but now I'm not allowed to go for a walk there with my partner and I'm not allowed to go for my usual solitary bike ride. This isn't a busy area - I frequently do a 10 km ride and on the tracks that I follow, I might see one or maybe two other people.

Meanwhile, Launceston's Gorge and Heritage Forest parks are both open. Maybe I need to get in my car and drive to one of those places, where I'll walk or ride past 50 or 100 people, each of whom may pass on disease and pestilence?

The local golf courses are all open and apparently had a really busy day. Golf - a sport typically played by groups of people who don't live under the same roof. We turn on the TV news tonight and there has been horse racing on today. Of all the pointless and useless pastimes that could easily be be put to a stop, the bloody horse racing is still going on, people are crowding in to take-away shops, but I'm forbidden to take a stroll in a sparsely populated nature reserve that's 20m from my front gate!

Has it actually occurred to them that having people maintain a basic level of cardio-vascular fitness is actually going to help contain this virus?

This is what happens when you are forced to make policy on the fly. This is just a more serious and deadly case, that's all. There's really no time to adequately plan these scenarios out.

I'm still stunned that the leading politicians of this country have maintained a broad consensus. Except for "each way", they seem to be almost on the same page, right or wrong. 66 years for me and it's the first time.

The politicians will get the blame of course, but Andrews for one shouldn't be held responsible for the sheer stupidity of the beach goers. Same for Berahoweveritspelled, Palahoweveritspelled, Morrison and the rest. Regardless if you agree with the broad strategy, and I know some here don't, it's pretty clear what you should do.

People just don't get it.
