    Here in Bathurst things are reasonably normal. There are books to sign in, many are not bothering. I do not have the app on my ancient Android (don't think the app would work) and in any case do not always take it with me.

    There has not been any Covid cases here for weeks and in any case I avoid eating out in restaurants for the moment.

    100 days more with no cases and Dictator dan Might think about letting you come outside into your exercise yard for an hour a day.
    Long as you wear your mask, face shield, Gloves and disposable PPE of course. You'll need to social distance at least 1.5M from a tree, plants, pets or any other living creature or organism. Please bathe yourself in sanitiser before you walk out and before you go back in. While outside, do not wave or make eye contact with your neighbours or anyone else, we have to stop this Virus from spreading and keep everyone safe and can't take any risks of transmission by contact, gaze or telepathy .

    Just stick to the path and don't ask any questions. We will always be nearly there.

    From my limey mate in GB;

    'Things are getting bad in the UK and specifically LDN as the infection rate has been reported as 3.4 which means in 3 days they predict 80,000 just in London. I went back to work for a week and then my workplace said stay at home if I can work from home. The government have been useless and are not man enough to admit they have made mistakes again. We need to go into a proper lockdown as the NHS cannot deal with the numbers and winter is upon us so have that to deal with as well.'

    Friend in NL;

    'It's looking bad right now in the numbers, and we will having restrictions soon if this continues - my niece caught it and got over it okay, just like a bad dose of flu..but she's a teenager. Funny thing is, the rest of her family tested positive for anti-bodies, so they'd actually been infected as well but with no obvious side effects'

    How many people in Australia know for a fact they do not have anti bodies? Or how many of us can be sure we didn't meet the virus in the last 10 months?

    I can't be sure, I was O/S where lots of tourists from China were around at the time when China already had the virus full swing but the world didn't know about.

    Apparently I've had it, last time I had any flu like symptoms was in January.....

    Mild flu symptoms for 2 days, just after a doctors appointment and an hour or so in a waiting room with a heap of Africans.....

    If only the dead could talk hey?

    I know someone who died from it. She was one of the three here in the ACT, and was on the Ruby Princess. Her travelling companion also contracted it and only had mild symptoms.

    If you look at the science what it does to your lungs it is something like very slowly drowning and suffocating.
    I could imagine less torturing deaths.

    Partly a good analogy as long as they pour just enough water to still keep the victim alive as long as required but the restraint and unknown behaviour of the torturer is likely to cause a very different kind of anxiety.

    Those lucky enough to be in countries that can provide ventilators are also put into induced coma. Brain activity is monitored so they know the person is not suffering and would die peacefully.
