That is interesting, considering tests so far only give a 66% accuracy (so they say)
Meaning, you can have false negatives.

And Richard Wilkins has tested Positive 3 times, jesus!

From midnight tonight all campsites, caravan parks and camping grounds will be closed following greater restrictions on non-essential travel. This applies to absolutely all camping whether in the bush or at a formal caravan park. Exemptions are in place for permanent caravan park residents. Find out more: #stayathome
I have no idea where the Greynomads whom have rented out there home and hit the road are meant to stay now?

The only people permitted to remain will be:

People who already have the caravan park registered as their primary place of residence; and
People staying in caravan parks as interim accommodation where their primary residence is not available
I would imagine that means they have somewhere to stay?

Looking at my stuff what I could use to design and build my own ventilator.
Arduino, pressure sensor, and strong RC servo motors(two or more for redundancy) to push a makeshift bellow, all there.
Pneumatic valves and mask are missing.

There is also a gitlab project for those with a 3D printer:

Might nick the mask design from that.

Probably 1000's of ways to build an emergency ventilator.

Just scared the Living shit out of the daughter and Mrs with a dire tale of gloom and doom resulting from the Whoo hoo flu....

All these idiotic Tv serials they are addicted to won't be made and they will have to watch re runs till they catch up again.
No more home and a wank, no more dancing with the upstarts, Survivder, married at first fright and all the rest of the bullshit.

For some of us though, the whoo hoo flu isn't going to be all bad.
Lockdowns might make it possible for Utubers to make more vids. Thinking it would be a good time to start mine again if I can drum up the motivation.

Wouldn't be hard to make but making one that didn't hurt the patient and do more harm than good by hyper ventilating them, causing a Pneumothorax or other problems and general monitoring of the patient would seem to be the trick.

That is what the pressure sensor is for, together with the Arduino(I will probably code my own PIC micro) to sense and adjust the pressure that is built up in the lungs and stop to exhale with a two way pneumatic valve. Of course it will have huge knobs to adjust the breathing frequency and pressure/volume.

Just ordered a couple of these to see if they work:

and this anti snore/respirator mask could do the job that also looks comfortable:

Of course this will undergo a lot of testing as with all my stuff.

Size of the bellows(I will probably use two for redundancy) and torque of the servos will also limit the risk of hyperventilation but I might end up with a totally different concept.

Don't forget we hardly have any ventilators. That is why so many die in Italy and so will they here.
At least the USA are making their own but we can't even make a match stick in this country.

Why is every time I post something here there is an 'expert' call or some response in the news a bit later, well I already posted that before some days ago:

I bet the lack of ventilators also in Australia will hit the news big in a week or two unless a total shut down commences tomorrow but my crystal ball tells me that will not happen until we see over 10,000 cases. Always keep in mind that those are tested positive. The number of those who are already infected at that time are likely 10x more(as mentioned by OB I think) but will wait until their symptoms show and bother to do the test.

Should be a sports bet option: When will ScoMo do a total, but I am not a punter.
