I read this morning that Chinese companies were swooping on businesses that are failing...Melbourne I think. As well, Daniel Andrews warned that there will be electricity shortages....

I'll bet they wish they had somewhere to burn a little more coal right now.

Thanks enf, .. Looking up Gas and Petrol Generators to buy online as I type .. GAS generators are expensive damnit.

Very difficult when you live in Melb Suburbia, no land to put more stuff.. have to rely on the grid sadly.

Those people that live in city apartments.. even worse if the grid fails..

Never looked at gas generators but I know there are a lot of gas CARBURETTORS on fleabag that are designed to bolt straight onto the petrol engines as a conversion. They aren't expensive at all.

I predicted there would be power shortages over summer and prepared myself with several mainly diesel Generator which I can run on free oil.
That didn't eventuate here at least thanks to bushfires taking the load off the system but looks like they may come in handy now. I have been setting up an inverter today which will be connected to a couple of Batteries and Bunch of panels. The inverter is 2 KW (Plus I have a few other smaller ones) and I have 3 Kw of panels I can use to feed it so the batteries aren't hit at all through the day. Very easy to take them off my GTI and just re configure them to parallel from series configuration.

I have also set up a smaller diesel with a 12 and 24V alternator for battery charging. Been looking for 2 bearing gen heads for years but they are bloody hard to get here at any sort of realistic price.

    Here is a gas carb.

How predictable. My ( polish) dentist has been telling me for years we should be shitting ourselves over the Chinese and it was not the peace and fun lovers we should be worried about. Looks like he was spot on the money.

I'm not one for conspiracy theroys but this is looking less and less like an accident the more I learn about it. Wether the rest of the world roll over and takes it up the Khyber pass or actually grows a pair and does something about it remains to be seen.

I think the lefty greentards are not going to be game to stick their heads up once all the body's are buried for a while with their save the planet Bullshit.
People aren't going to fall for all the emergency crap now they have seen what a real one looks like. IF the power does go down people will be ready to tar and feather these green cult leaders.

Good job SA had the wisdom to get rid of all the coal and put in Diesel Burning Turbines that suck down 80,000 Litres of fuel an hour. Week running those things and there won't be a drop of diesel left for anything else!

That dirty filthy coal will start looking pretty Fking good all sitting in the ground untouched about then.

Spoke to my brother last night. He's at a Rio Tinto mine at whereeveritisinthebooniesamup WA.

Flyins from closed states like QLD and Tassie are stuck there. Also the liquor is strictly rationed.

Tassie rules for FIFO miners are allowed to do so as long as they self isolate while they are home.

What if I fly out of Tasmania
    for work?
Tasmanian fly-in fly-out workers returning from interstate
will have to go into quarantine for 14-days.
You will need to fill out a Tasmanian Arrivals Card and
identify your residence while in Tasmania.
You must adhere to the Tasmanian Government’s
    quarantine requirements.
You need only to self-isolate for the period you are back
    home in Tasmania.
If home for more than 14-days, and you do not develop any
signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in that time, you can stop
your quarantine and return to your normal daily activities.
You don’t need a clearance certificate to return to work.
The 14-day quarantine applies each time you fly out of
    Tasmania and return back home.
If your stay at home is less than 14 days, you are permitted
to leave Tasmania however, you must travel directly from
your home to your departure point (Airport or Port).

If it was me they told that to, I'd call the Fking police and throw metho over the lot of them to sterilise them.

Why the FK are we letting anyone in from places like that Oz citizen or not. Clearly can't be trusted to do the right fking thing.

Probably went other places, had someone to eat somewhere and if the daughter has it infected a bunch of others.
ALL these fktards, parents and Daughter should be quarantined in the local lockup!

Someone have a look at the arrival boards for Sydney airport early tomorrow morning and tell me that's not complete and utter Bullshit!

34 planes from every shit hole and infection centre going all before 8:30 am! 3 from denpasar, another couple from Hong kong, Couple from LA. Singapore, Delhi.... And these are all Aussie stragglers coming home? Bull Fking Shit!.

My black arse they are all Aussies returning home! There aren't going to be enough hotels to put all those people up in hotels for quarantine so I know dam well what going to happen to them! Out into the wild they go.

All being snuck in the back door early on a Saturday in the hope less people will notice.

A very good Video that sums up the situation in a very humourous way but never the less completely true.

Just chatting with one of my nieces ~ apparently schools being closed is 'sick', also seems students at home have no need for webcam, they just watch the teacher , because of that, teachers can't see what the pupils are doing ~ niece is telling me how all 'her friends' are planning to have their laptops/mobilephones next to them during these web-based school classes.. you can guess why... seems to me the kids have got this covered and have a plan before the whole thing starts next week.

Good to see someone's organized =)
