try battery world.
I have a need to find or build a rechargeable 6 volt battery. The battery I have is a 476A 6V battery,
other replacement batteries include:-
PX28A, A544, 28PXA, 4LR44, 476A, 4G13, GP476, K28, V28, PX28AB, L1325, 1414A, V4034PX,
Ideally I'd like to buy a rechargeable battery so I don't have to buy the little buggers at a rate of about 1 every 10-14 days, we bought a citronella dog collar for one noisy jack russell, it's working a treat, but does go through the batteries.
Battery is approx 24.5 mm long 12.5 mm dia.

Rang battery world - they checked, no good
would it matter about the size (not too big or small) as long as it's 476A 6V ????

Electus 1300738555 cat No SB2415 has them for $1.68 each or$1.26 if buying 10+. There is a $90 min order so grab a catalogue & try to find something else to buy at the same time.
My dog's collar was rechargeable when I purchased the collar...
Electus just charge a $10 surcharge if your under $100. You can order 1 battery at $1.68 but it'll cost you $1.68 + GST + $15.00 freight + $10.00 surcharge. Do your own maths and see whether its worth it.
There are only 10 kinds of people in this world.
Those that undersatand BINARY and those that don't
6V Tractor battery would be a bit big I suppose ?
Would tend to make him a stay home dog and would last a year or two.

If electus have it, any jaycar dealer should be willing to order it for you
I have the same request about a rechargeable 476A battery.
TIA
Run an extension lead and plug pack out to the dog.
Ok.. not so practical. It looks like somebody who designed the collar didn't think through the battery use very well.
A quick solution is to get a couple of little 3V lithium batteries and wire two up in series and attempt to fix them into the same compartment. A couple of these little batteries you can recharge them and cycle them and they will probably last longer.
Sparkfun is a company that jumps to mind as a supplier. They have these batteries...
They also have larger and smaller.
If you wanted to put two of the larger ones in series and attach them to a doggy harness, they would still be small and very light and your mongeral won't even know they're there.
The bigger (still small) ones will probably run for months before they need a charge.
Sparkfun have all kinds of REALLY COOL goodies ... and I'm really happy with their customer service etc.
