should do? I had a 2950 (managed) which I just used as a normal switch.
Can someone tell me if the Cisco WS-C3560G-48TS-E can be used as unmanaged switch. I do not want to sit at CLI and set up a switch manually.
Wanted to use this switch in the house and garage network and on some cameras.
Thanks.

Hope you didn't pay too much for it. It should work for you, though. I use a HP Procurve 2124 that I picked up for the outrageous sum of $5.00.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

You can turn the fancy features like spanning tree off and stick all the ports in a single VLAN. The problem with using an enterprise level switch in a home environment is the noise and the power consumption.
I have a pile of Cisco gear out in my garage, but I don’t use any of it on my home network.
