My dad had several of these years ago when he was a little younger than I am now, they called them Transient Ischemic Attacks. Doc put him on Warfarin, he had to have blood tests every week while the Doc adjusted the dose. No more mini strokes and he lived to 93 before his heart just stopped.

Glad you came through this, it's a good sign. Talk to the doc about blood thinners to prevent further strokes. Good luck.

NO NO NO. TIA's andwarfinin thins your blood more than asprin thusew you have more head bleeds cerebral head bleeds. what the docs are saying now is reduce the blood thining so that helps me not to bleed in my head
but in the same time i couldhave a heart attack because my heart has to pump harder. anyhow Im seeing the specialist and i have to tell him the thngs that i can do and things that i cant do.
guys it like i haveing two house bricks tied to my righ hand. I have no Power and lost totally the fine motor skills but still havegross motor skills.
"EG" i can put my right hand close to my face i cant wash my face, also i cant brush my teeth, also tried wanking my dick lol.lololol ( cant tell the specialist that)....the hand is there and does not know what to do. you get the point yet i have very striong hand grip but elbo and righ sholder is useless, its floppy
try typig with one finger and two house bricks strapped to you hand, that what i going through
I got back from hospital sat morning and 2 house later i had to replace the cheak stop valve (stopped at bunnings on the way back) on the water tanks as it was leaking as the pump was stating and stopingevery 15 seconds, I am determined and will still do things that i can do even if i have no hand.
any how take me 30+ min to type this, time to rest and EXERSIZE , exersise, exersise and rest and more exersise that arm

if you have good vein in your head you can use wafirin or more blood other blood thinner but in my case my vein in my head are weak thus cant use more blood thiner. if i have normal or high blood pressure I WOULD BE DEAD!!!!! luckily i have a low bood oressure and this alone is saving me. i have low bp since i was young.

Sorry to hear of your great troubles.
All I can suggest is if you are not happy with your treatment or docs at any time, go see someone else. Hopefully that wont happen and your recovery is good but....

Can't tell the number of times I or people I personally know and have cared for have had ongoing problems that never seemed to get better that were cured virtually overnight just by seeing someone else that obviously knew what to do.

As you seem to enjoy forums, perhaps you could look at some speech recognition software to eliminate as much typing and make posting and things online easier for you?

Best of luck with your rehab, hope it and your treatment goes well.

I know of a young Girl whom has always had severe mental problems ( Mother was warned not to have her before she was born) and regularly has temper tantrums ( of the medical severity) and has always been in and out of facilities for treatment. She has tried to take her own life 4 times that I know of and is on a different medication every damn month it seems. I cannot fathom how she has a licence on that alone.
Everyone I know that knows her has tried to warn the (single) mother but clearly it's like pissing into the wind. Myself and others that know of her are appalled she has a licence despite now writing off 3 cars and having many more less severe accidents.

One of the accidents we know was in fact a suicide attempt. She deliberately put the car into a tree. The fact it was a small one that only wrote the car not her off speaks to her mental state on it's own. My father has refused to sell her or the mother any more cars because he is so against her having a licence he wants no part of her driving.

I have to do a medical form every 12 Months because I have Diabetes and anxiety, how in the hell this kid gets a licence is beyond me. Her physical impairments I put as minor although seem to vary but her mental state is not good at all and never has been.

Her licence has been taken off her several times yet she gets it back each time she applies to get it back with seemingly no trouble.
I have flat out told the Mother as have others, that she should not be driving and she should not be LETTING her drive but like most mothers overly protecting disabled children, she makes excuses and grandstands about her " Rights" etc and defends her. This is a kid that couldn't attend a normal school because of her disability's and can't hold any regular job due to her erratic outbursts and breakdowns. She's a nice enough kid to talk to, obviously a space Kadet from what they have her on but Fk me, how they let someone like that drive? Even her grandparents are amazed, horrified she has a licence and are dead against it.

The mother says she loves her but as I told her about 3 years ago, If you really loved her, you'd not want her killing herself or some other poor fker through driving when clearly that's the last thing she should be doing.

If she ever does hurt anyone, I think the mother should be held responsible as should the morons that approved her licence. She is barely able to be left alone in the house ( and not always), how she can be in charge of a vehicle astounds me.

I know of other people that are quite capable of driving have their licence taken off them when there was no reason I could see. Happened to my mates father. Yes, he was 92 but fitter than most 60 yo's, nothing wrong physically ( or mentally I could see) and I would often see him driving around town and never saw him do a thing wrong. According to my mate, nothing wrong with his heart or anything else and given the daily walk he takes 3Km to his daughters house and back, that would seem to be borne out.

Loosing his licence certainly hasn't help his state of mind or will to live that's for sure and I damn know which one I'd rather get in a car with and it isn't the girl.

I will get my daughter to type this as she is a thousand times faster than me. Ill put it in point formation.
    - This stroke has bought me back a peg or so. I find I cant spell correctly and forget to put spaces in when needed and so on and so on, so I am back where I was years ago.
    - I suffer with cerebal head microbleeds. Just imagine your plumbing in your head and the pipes have rusted and the walls of the pipes are thin and you have too much pressure in that pipe and the pipe will burst (im dead if that happens). Or mainly I leak which causes this.
    - Im between a rock and a hard place. See most people that have had strokes, they put them on blood thinners like asprin and clopidogrel or even warfrin but if they do that to me the pipes in my head will leak more so I will have more episodes of what I am having now.
    - People have strokes. They put them on either persantin or asasantin. Now asasantin has more asprin in it and thats no good because it thins your blood and I will have more leakages in my brain.
    - Some say to type, use a program so you dont have to use a keyboard. Cant use this because of my vocabulary as the program has trouble understanding me.
    - Can i teach my hand to work. Yes, done plenty of practice the last 24 hours. Last night from 7pm on the right hand was the best ever since I had the stroke but I woke up this morning and its gone back a peg.
    - Are the specialists primitive? Yes, they are. It took a team of doctors and specialists to work out what was wrong with me. See, it is very unusual to have a dead arm but have a very strong hand grip. My right arm was totally dead. Its there but does not work at all whilst I was in the hospital but one doctor there decided to put his three fingers in the palm of my hand and said to me to squeeze his three fingers and I left him in pain. Well I squeezed it. This is unheard of. Most of them have a dead arm like mine because they had a stroke on the left side of their brain have a dead shoulder, dead elbow and no grip.
    - MRI and CT scan. Well they firstly gave me a CT scan that found nothing. Most of the times the CT scan find the preliminary strokes and the MRI finds the stroke itself but this time the CT scan showed nothing. It was 100% clear. Most of the time a MRI wont show nothing depending on which MRI they are using. See our local hospital has had an ungodly amount of millions of dollars spent on it and in this complete revamp of the hospital they bought the latest and the greatest MRI machine. They still have the siemens MRI machine in another room and if they use this machine they would have found nothing but because they put me on the new (forgot the brand) machine that can scan on a particular layer, they call it algorithm layer, they were able to find the head bleed. It was pinpointed exactly where they suspected it would be. It was around the size of a 10c coin.
    - What happened at the last stroke. See at the last hospital after I was transferred from this existing hospital to the hospital that does rehabilitation and it was time to go home after 2 months there. I spoke to my doctor there, my head doctor too, a neurologist, head honcho top doctor and I asked questions and so did my daughter. Now you talk about persantin and asasantin. I asked them which one should I take and they did not reply. Mind you, they are the doctors and yet they cannot answer me. After about 15 minutes I got angry and I told them, are you doctors or lawyers? Because what happens is, if i take persantin it can help me with strokes but can cause me to have a heart attack but if i take the asasantin it can help me with my heart but can also cause me to have another stroke. So what would you do?
    - I have to let my brain relearn my arm. Yes as days go on my arm will be getting better because I am teaching it now to use the fine motor skills because last night about midnight I successfully brushed my teeth without sticking the toothbrush through my mouth. I asked the doctor about this and the doctor said it could take you weeks or months before you start to relearn this. I want to learn quicker and I want to learn to brush my teeth with my right hand, wipe my ass with my right hand and do everything else with my right hand as quick as possible. As when you sit there doing nothing, nothing is gained. No doubt the human brain is a marvellous device because the part of my brain that has been damaged, the CPU has to find another place to put the memory in there. Yeah i spoke to the doctors and specialists like this and they fully understand me because the main part of your brain, I call it the CPU, if thats damaged you are stuffed fully because at the moment the CPU is strong and all the CPU needs to do is find another part of the brain to right the lefts and rights, ups and downs, to brush my teeth and other. Yes the part of the memory is damaged so lets find another blank part of the memory to put the instructions on. They tell me an average person uses only 15% of their brain capacity (i dont know exactly). And if this is the case my CPU is trying to find another blank space to write the instructions on. Put it this way, this is the best way to explain it to you and the doctors and specialists laughed their heads off.
    - I have noticed this issue happens at a particular time of the year. Yes, I have observed out of the five episodes. One big stroke and four small ones. Four of them have happened in summer. One in between. This could happen mainly I suspect when my head gets hot e.g. in hotter temperature in summer days. I will bring this up when I see the specialist.
    - Does these episodes come on when I am angry? No. Its the opposite. Each time I have had an issue like this the five of them have all happened when it was quiet time for me e.g. not talking at all, resting and watching TV, watching a movie or watching my son when he was younger playing the playstation. Yes it has never happened when I was on the go. This is another matter I will bring up with the specialist.
    - My BP. Yes my BP is very low. See when an average person goes to hospital or even to see your local doctor, your blood pressure always increases. This is the norm but the nurses at the hospital say oh your BP is normal, very good. Its 115/75 and thats very good. And i say NO, its too high for me as I normally have 85/60, sometimes 75/56 and thats a norm for me and because I am in hospital, I am partly stressed which causes my BP to be higher than normal. Once again if I had normal BP or even higher BP I would be dead x10 because the way my veins and arteries in my head, they are thin and weak and cannot withstand any higher pressure. If this is the case I would have most likely had a hemorrhagic stroke.

Anyhow guys, enough typing for my daughter. I will get off the computer soon and I want to keep exercising my right arm. I want my CPU to inform other blank memory slots to put the info in there.
P.s. Dont want to do too much otherwise I will get tired but I do know because I have experience with this, if you fall off the horse you must get back onto it quickly and this is what I found out when I had the first major stroke in 2016.
thanks all, I have alot more to say as I was thinking about this whilst trying to get to sleep but you guessed it, I have forgotten but if i think about them I will write them on some paper then put it on the computer.

Wont work for me as I tried this in the first big Stroke
Yes with the rehab. The Hospital said to me you can a person to come to your house to help you for rehab once a week for 1 hour, I said NO I will do it myself, I have done this before 4 Stroke times, I will practice 4 to 6 times a day X 7 days to re-train my brain. Today is a lot better then yesterday typing so i'm getting there.

Thanks for the explanations, mate, thank your daughter, too.
I completely understand the quandary which is the lesser of two evils? I'm taking SWMBO into hospital today as her arm has now gone numb. She has small vessel disease, hydrocephalus, vaso spatic angina, diabetes, and that only covers some of her issues.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Sad what happens to most of us when you get old. Some of us get really old and have multiple issues but some of us grow old with no issue but die the next day.
