Default YouTube Ads are getting out of control

After updating to a current version of YouTube on my Android TV Box (was forced too)
And getting a new Android Smartphone with the latest YouTube app

The ads have been relentless, both 2 Ads before watching a Video and Ads during it

I appreciate its Free Content and in some cases its the content uploader than has chosen the Ads for revenue
But its never been this bad

Granted, both my Android TV Box and Smartphone are not running any form of Ad Blocker

The previous version of YouTube on the TV Box was great, more simple layout and only the occasional ad during a video

The new version on my phone is scattered with Ads, from pop-ups and to pull down ads that block you in the comments section until you close them.

My browser experience using the Macbook with Chrome and AdBlocker Ultimate is great however
    No Ads on start up
    No Ads during videos
No Pop-Ups ads below the Video near the comments section.....

Can anyone suggest a method to solve YouTube Android App experience?
    It's out of control

    Cheers
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!

    Pretty much

And as YouTube is a Google product and Playstore is a Google product and Android for that matter is a Google product
It is hard to imagine they would ever allow a solution to be on the Playstore that nagated thier revenue collecting

With my research, it seems they have changed the way (the code) Ads have been injected into videos or before them.
Back in the day, there was the "Ad Free" version of YouTube someone had made... Not sure it's still around or supported if it is.

Ironically, i have 6 year old Android Tablets laying around the house that havent been updated in that time (not one app)
And those apps work great, YouTube, Racing.com, etc, all load fast and play with no ads

Maybe its time for an App roll back

In fact, a lot of apps were better back then

Well that took you long to finally notice that.

...or stop using the stupid app and use a browser, even on Android the Youtube experience through the Duck or Opera(old version) is fine.

...and for even better user experience with longer videos, download with 4K Video Downloader and watch totally ad free.

Well, it is really not convenient to a use a browser on Android for one. Especially for YouTube.
Neither is using another app to download the video to watch at a later date???

I'll try a YouTube App roll back, but i'm not sure how that works on newer devices or ones with updated Google Services application folders

When I tried out the Youtube app it annoyed the shyte out of me.

Yeah I am staying on Android 8 for many a good reason.

So far I see no useful improvements in smart phones in last 3 years. On the contrary they are made of glass front and back.
I took apart a cracked Huawei P20 pro, it's back is 0.2mm glass with a bit of paint, nothing else, stuck on with very sticky sticky tape, so that's progress... not for me!
BTW waterproof my arse, the tiniest crack in the glass back and they leak. I have personally seen it.
The sheeple will buy any shyte and pay big bucks for it.

When everybody is using 5G I will have 4G all to myself, LOL.

On a side note my favourite browser Epic (for PCs only) asked to update so I did and all of a sudden they want money to use their search engine
Immediately deleted and installed the former version, search engine remains free, although I mostly use the Duck anyhow.

I also went back to El Capitan on the Mac and no need to talk about Windows.
Only Linux I can safely update/upgrade without loss of functionality.

The flip side to this is as a YT creator, revenues have been slashed to what they were even though the ads that are automatic and the creators have no control over have got a lot more saturated. My Numbers are all up pretty much every month but the revenue grows by nothing like the same proportion and is overwhelmingly way down on what it was a few years back when my channel was much smaller.

YT is also demonetising so many channels for reasons that no one even themselves can explain but the bastards still put their ads on even though they are deeming the content is not suitable for advertisers. Nothing like Fking people over twice in the one go!

There is an action in place atm where a load of tubers are trying to get some clear definitions out of YT but they are just stonewalling. They know they have a lot of people who have become full time creators and rely on it for their income by the short and curlys so they are being typical corporate pricks.

I agree the ads are getting over the top though. I watch 95% of YT on my PC and it's still damn annoying. The way the ads are being piled on, the Creators ALL should be making fortunes but instead they are paying them shit and annoying the guts out of their audience because they can get away with it.

The obvious solution is for a competitor to come along but the cost and logistics of that makes it VERY unlikely if not impossible to happen in the foreseeable future.
YT has grown to a corporate Giant and as such they are leveraging their position for max profit no matter how much they have to Fk over their creators and Viewers and I suspect advertisers as well.

    Stay in your happy place...

For the millions with Smart tv's, Android tv's and Android set top boxes, it's a very different story....

You almost can't buy a TV now that doesn't come with YouTube and Netflix buttons on the remote.
The cheapest $300 TV has it.

I don't know how the Fk anyone can watch anything on a phone.
People make a big song and dance about having the biggest TV then watch stuff on a postage stamp size Phone.

No way in hell I could be bothered. I have on very rare occasions watched instructional Vids on my tablet when I was trying to do something as I went but that was out of desperation rather than choice or enjoyment.

Yes, people are getting confused as to what you are actually talking about.

I use Youtube so rarely on TV I am not too fazed. Having said that, if I was a regular viewer I would probably feel the same as you do.

I would Google around, I would expect that someone has developed a solution given the increase.

It wouldnt have to be in the Play store as long as you can side load it.

Yes, a Google search returns hundreds of recent posts on the exact same subject.

I dare say the general posting public have little idea what to do...
I thought on the off chance someone here might....

More likely found deep and hidden in an Android forum....

Yeah, I get where you are coming from. I had a bit of a look around and you are right, there is no obvious solution. But I have no doubt there is one, you only have to look at how popular adblockers for browsers are. And Android TV is massive.

Post back if you do find anything, like I said I rarely watch Youtube on there but its still an annoyance for people.
