That was doing the rounds yesterday, didn't take them long.

I'm still laughing at the houses stuffed full of toilet paper.
Meanwhile the Tissue isle or paper towels were untouched, even when all TP was sold out....

They also left all the food on the shelves

"This is not overly common, particularly around the city areas but the main thing is no-one got hurt tonight and we've been able to save quite a lot of toilet paper," fire officer Justin Francis said.
    Oh, thank goodness!

    A national disaster narrowly averted.

Don't worry TD....Rebel Sports to the rescue....

The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

Tissues and paper towels are expensive compared to TP.

Long life milk will likely be next(second on my predicted list) but then there will be heaps of TP on the shelves.

    Speaking of long-life milk.....

Went into town yesterday to get some Coles UHT for the camper.

To my great surprise found that the normally $1 1litre Coles UHT is now $1.25..........25% just like that.

Was wondering whether this was another one of those "let's help the farmers" things.....or something a little more opportunistic

    I wish!

What with bushfires, coronavirus, and now over 100mm of rain, I'd be happy if I could just get down to the local park for an hour

I stand corrected!! I thought the people in our town were smarter than that! There were only two packets of toilet paper on the shelf at our local IGA this afternoon. I did buy one, only because we are running low.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

I'll bet my arse ( pardon the pun) the main people buying up all the dunny paper are Asians. They could well be triggering others but I bet they are the main culprits.

They seem to be scared of anything and everything. I'm always amused at how every time I watch that airport security show, they cop them bringing in suitcases stuffed with food ( which they NEVER declare) as if they seem to think there is nothing to fking eat here and unless they bring their own they will starve!
I'm damn sure I would rather starve than eat some of the foul looking crap they try to bring in.

The Asians are the ones you see walking around the place with masks on, the only ones. Just something in their culture that makes them scared of everything and very prone to panicking in my experience.

I would have thought they would be going more for the food ( and the Baby formula) than bog rolls but maybe there is something ingrained in their culture about the importance of having a clean arse?

My father was laughing about this tonight. He said when he was young you went out to the thunderbox and sat there reading the paper then you wiped your backside on it when you were finished. Couldn't remember if bog rolls were around then but he said if they were, they couldn't afford such luxuries.

    You surely won that bet.
This morning I went to Aldi to 'stock up' on ice cream and an Asian in the store had the trolly filled way higher than the brim with 24 pack TP packets.
She was denied at the register, only 2 per customer.
Suddenly more Asians arrived who seemed to know her arrived with 3x 24 packs each in their trolleys.
There are normally not that many Asians around in my area.
