Default Whats With The Toilette Paper?

Wife said to pick up some bumf while I was out shopping today......WTF?

    Coles, stripped.. Woollies, stripped..

Why is toilette paper (which is mostly made here) the panic buy of the Corona virus scare? What do people expect..massive, explosive bowel decompression on a heretofore unprecedented scale? The need to instantly install a second crapper to cope with the excrement overflow? Pooclear armageddon? F*cking morons....

My already low opinion of the populations common sense has taken a further swing into the f*cking red.

It's almost enough to drive me to an early beer! (not Corona)
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

    I was thinking the same

I really don't get buying 2 years supply in one go.

I was in woolies last night and walked past the dunny roll shelves and there was people grabbing the stuff of the stock trolly before the staff could put it on the shelf.
The bottled water shelves had sweet FA as well.
Death smiles at everyone. Grumpy old men smile back.

yep same here, just got back from our weekly shopping, never seen so many ppl in the store at one time. Had to go back into the carpark to find a trolly, & no toilet paper left on the shelves.
Overheard a woman talking about a friend of hers who just bought $1,000 worth of tinned food.
Guess they are expecting to quarantine themselves.
    Cheers, Tiny

Seems that some people believe that this virus will cause a very bad attack of the runs. I've heard nothing to that effect, is there any truth to this?

Seems nowdays the majority of the Australian population are fking stupid at the best of times, add a possible threat to the scenario and their tiny little brains almost implode and one sees just how stupid they can become, as evidenced here.

There was plenty in our local IGA. Maybe rural OZ is a little smarter than those in the Big Smoke. It's a plot by the retailers to sell a lot of stock!
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Don't say I didn't warn you, it is number one on the list:

There are two absolute certainties of life:
    - the need to take a dump
    - death

Panic ALWAYS occurs when there is no toilet paper
Plenty of available toilet paper provides comfort and assurance in tough times
Toilet paper is far cheaper to use than fancy tissues, when you are drowning in nasal fluid
Toilet paper can be wrapped around your face as a makeshift disposable mask
When you can't speak anymore from the heavy infection you can write on a piece of toilet paper that you are dying from CoVid-19 and shove it under the cubicle next to you

...of course we need to panic buy toilet paper

this all started after some posts on FB which said that since TP is not being sent out of China now ( China supplies 20% of our TP market ) the country will suffer mass shortages.

I get that ,but what if Kimberly Clark or whoever move offshore and supply our market from there , well then we are buggered.
