Firstly,
Is it only Austar you are having an issue with, or FTA digital reception?
Do you have any problems displaying a DVD on playbck on the screen?
How are all the devices connected?
Hello, this is my first post and am hoping someone can help us!
we just upgraded our TV to a Toshiba digital lcd and are now experiencing random dropouts with vision (sometimes sound too) - normal TV seems fine - we have even taken the TV back and swapped it for another but the problem persists
the austar signal goes to a dvd recorder before the Tv - is this an issue? - as we never had any problems with the old TV before I'm stumped
ta in advance for any pointers

thanks for getting back to us!
the austar to dvd recorder to tv are all hooked up with standard rca leads into the video 2 input
it did do it once just then with a dvd playing thru the recorder too
should I get an s-video lead or some other options?
cheers
Im having the exact same problem. I had it sussed out but I just relocated everything in my office and now it's doing it again and I forget how I fixed it the first time
You could use a process of elimination,
to try & pinpoint what causes the problem,
such as remove the DVD recorder & see if the problem persists,
If the problem persists, look for other causes , like faulty leads, or a fault with STB, etc......,
if the problem does not persist, look for a fault with the DVD recorder or any parts you disconnected,
