Exclamation Is it worth keeping whitey 1.04?

    Hey guys,

got a virgin whitey 1.04 laying around from about 1 year ago.
The card has never been written to, got it the day after they killed off the working public austar gamma.

    Question
Is there any point in keeping this, or would I be better off selling it for a profit?

So you reckon cash in now?

    Will they be obselete soon?

Or could the price continue to rise for this card overseas?

Any extra thoughts or info much appreciated

I have 4 of them and once you sell them, then they are gone.
If you want one later what are you going to do?

Thanks for the 2 replies EVERYBODY

Seems like everytime a whitey is mentioned these days, EVERYBODYS LIPS ARE SEALED.

Sorry for asking a simple question. My mistake. Maybe if I had asked for some working files I might have gotten more responses......all negative of course.

I don't know what you were expecting. I agree with myf360f1 and even sellers say the same.

Would you prefer everyone just answered with what you wanted to hear just for the sake of it ?

    Default lol sook?

@Urban, I was given 2 answers to my original question asking for opinions, both answered with opposite opinions.

@Sanity, I did expect more than 2 replies considering the amount of views. It was a valid question as far as I thought.

I rest my case with the results of this thread...............Conclusion is as follows.

    1. A valid question was asked, only 2 replied with opposite answers.
    2. More replies came after I had a little stab at the other forum members but the replies had NOTHING to do with the original question.

That proves that members are more than willing to post if they have shit to lay, less willing to post if not laying shit?

I guess that sums up this forum in one hey.

    Thanks puca, good answer.

Problem is I haven't spent enough time here over the years and am not aware of long term or short term members.

Since the "big crash" its hard to tell who's new from the post count, all you can tell is who has made more posts since having to re-register.

I have read 12 months worth of posts, and am still not sure what to think, or who to listen 2. Hence my original question.

I would sell it and cash in.

I have not checked current prices on flea bay but managed to comfortably get my money back on it.

If you think $200 to $210 is making a profit, remember ebay charges and postage take a cut out, you end up getting your money back and you had some fun on the way.

Disagree with eozgo, i cant see them at $400 unless somethings happened recently that i dont know about.

    Point taken.

I paid 140 and am seeing them on ebay for as much as 260 and wondering what they will peak at.
How much does ebay charge for a sale?

Best to look that up on eBay... they vary.. there are listing fees, % of sale fees, fees to display pics.. depends on what price you start at, etc etc.

As a rough rule of thumb, expect to pay about 10% of the sell price for the listing, final auction fee and Paypal charge.

With respect to your original question, it's a bit like asking what are interest rates going to be in 6 months. The fact that you got two opposite answers does not surprise me. There were few responses because nobody has AFI what's going to happen tomorrow or in 6 months time, that's the nature of the beast.

What are you still doing here then ? Go and ask Ebay what you should do , I dont see why members here should be demeaned for giving you free help.
