Default LG 60LB7500 LCD TV Service Manual?

    Hi All,

Just wondering if anybody has a copy of the LG service manual for the 60LB7500 LCD TV?

I have found 2 LED strips (one on the left side, and one on the right so an A & B) in my TV that are drawing too much current and causing the TV to shut down after it boots up....I have disconnected the 2 faulty LED strips (Removing VC16 & VC9 pins from connector) , and it is working OK, just a slight shadow in 2 areas when a very bright background is displayed....for the most part is it very watchable.
I would like to know the part numbers of the LED strips, and order them before opening up the LCD assembly, and do the changeover all in one hit,so I hoped the manual would tell me the correct part numbers.

Also if anyone knows (or has) some good strips for sale to suit this chassis please let me know. (I'm in Melbourne)

    Thanks,
    Bruce

    Thanks. That's great help.

I will go searching to figure out what the difference is between R1 & R2 types (hopefully left/right - male/female connectors)

    Thanks again,

Has anyone changed these LED strips on an LG?

There seems to be a L1 and L2, and a R1 and R2 type. There seems to be 3 of each in one set) Does anybody know the locations of what type goes where? Looking from the front, the locations of the faulty LED strips are below:

    -------------------------------------------------------
FAULTY LED STRIP GOOD LED STRIP
GOOD LED STRIP GOOD LED STRIP
GOOD LED STRIP GOOD LED STRIP
GOOD LED STRIP FAULTY LED STRIP
GOOD LED STRIP GOOD LED STRIP
GOOD LED STRIP GOOD LED STRIP
    -------------------------------------------------------

Actually part number should be tattooed somewhere on the strips

    Thanks,

I understand that they will have the part numbers on the PCB's. As I said in the first post...I have identified the locations of the faulty LED strips, and would like to have the replacement parts in advance, before I open up the LCD module. I don't want to pull the LCD module apart and have it sitting in a very fragile state for a week or more waiting for the parts to arrive, not to mention bits of dust etc on the diffuser sheets. That was why I was asking if anybody had first hand knowledge of the required parts.

Yeah, know where you're coming from ~ just a thought ; have you considered replacing the whole LED strip set? I'd think about it, because if you've had 2 strips fail, it'd be a real pisser to do that particular job, put it all back together, and then 'x' weeks/months later another of the (original) strips fails .. food for thought.

Thanks again. Yes....I've considered it.....just not sure how long shipping from China would take in the current climate. I have not found any new complete sets available in Australia.

edit: that link may be incorrect ; you really need isolate screen type used. That site is useful for identifying how many of each strip type there is in each particular model
