    Default Chromecast on old Fujitsu plasmavision

    Hi,
    This is a strange one. Im getting my home gym back up and going in the garage which i havent used for many years. In short, i have a wall mounted Fujitsu plasmavision tv...these tvs are monitor only, no tuner or speakers. I use it with a set top box via hdmi (vga to hdmi convertor) and audio through rca.
    This works fine for general tv.
    Now im keen to watch netflix, etc and cant see how i can.
    I can connect a chromecast to the tv, the picture works but no audio ,still gets audio from av of set top box.
    I guess the only thing i can think of is if there is a set top box with both hdmi and av (like i have now) which also has smart capabilities? I havent seen any?
    Id happily replace tge tv, except is wall mounted and weighs a ton!
    Thanks in advance

    This is one option -->

    I did this once for someone using a set-top-box that had a second HDMI input which passed the signal out to AV/L+R connectors ... depends on the STB obviously.

    You could replace your current amp with one with hdmi inputs and plug chromecast into that.
    Should be plenty on facebook cheap

    Most of the Set top boxes these days have all this crap built in, as long as you can plug the STB into the TV it would work. Heck, the TV in my "boys" room has a computer plugged into the VGA port on the TV out there and I can watch whatever I wish to stream from wherever.
    I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
