    Default Hunting Trail Camera

I have had this motion activated hunting trail camera for a few years, been very useful for finding out what animals are about (day or night) in different places on my property. Particularly good to see what bastard creature is stealing my chook eggs.

The remote control stopped working, took out the battery & it was corroded, replaced battery & it still didn't work.

Pulled the remote apart to clean up the corrosion, but it was obviously not really meant to ever be disassembled & i broke the PCB & it's not repairable.
Have been searching for a replacement remote but none found.
I purchased this on ebay & can't find the seller.

Unfortunately the remote is necessary for setting time, date & changing functions every time the batteries are replaced, now I can live with out it, & just guess the time the photo or video is taken, but it really is handy to know what time it was.

If anyone has one of these remotes from a camera that got broken I wonder if it would work on this one?
Does anyone know where I could buy a replacement?

I guess these Chinese units are not overly expensive so I wonder if a buy the same one if the remote would work on both, could be lucky that they all use the same IR signal.

Some pics to show the type & model it is.

    Cheers, Tiny

Well thanks for the above; some interesting options there, I'll way them up & make a decision.

So i went with this one, worked out at $28AU delivered.
It's the best option as it has the full keypad which is way better for entering the day date.

Thanks again, when I searched this the other day I didn't find these options.

Just as a work around, when you change the batteries does the machine always reset to the same time? If so all you must do is note what the offset is to the current time and just add/subtract that from the recorded time.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

I borrowed one of those trail Cameras and found the quality and versatility to be very lacking. Not at all satisfactory for my purposes.

I bought a bunch of these things and set them up and put an SLR in a waterproof housing with external flashes for better lighting. :

Much better quality and a lot more choice of lenses etc.

Some of the serious people with this leave cameras for a month or more and power then with batteries charged by solar panels.
Have to set mine up again. I'm sure there is fox coming round here.
