Latency should be better tham the average 60ms of 4g but it can never be better than a fixed fibre installation.

The real advances in 5G are several years away. In Australia the allocation of mm wave frequencies is not even scheduled until next year. There is no commercial equipment available yet for these bands. There have been tests which have acheived >1Gbps in mm band tests, but these have typically been far removed from real world situations..

If you can find a tower, still pretty thin on the ground, even in central Perth.

Nothing in country wa at all.

    Not feeling any symptoms yet....

I was rooting my p30 pro and managed to really root it......

I got a p30 lite as a backup and had it up and running in half an hour from a backup from pc.

I was thinking of a a p40 pro, but telstra don't allow volte, vowifi on Huawei, even with their own firmware. So went for a galaxy s20 ultra.

There some sites I go to with 4g only and some with wifi only.

To be honest, I wouldn't bother, unless you really need the camera.

As a phone the p30 lite is far better, smaller and easier to use.

But no nfc or wireless charging, a bargain at $450

I actually considered a p30Lite a while ago, but thought it must be rubbish for how cheap it was
In the same price range as Oppo etc

    Nice to know its good

The Mrs old Samsung S7 out performs my Samsung Note 9, her camera is just as good, if not better.
It still not laggy even after years of her Facebook and Insta scrolling

Perth this morning, Huawei p40 pro.

    Inside hotel room

    Outside on balcony

The Huawei p40 pro seems to have better download performance than the Samsung s20 ultra...

Don't even get me started on NBN.

My old Cable was 4x as fast and cost half as much and still runs in front of the house now but I'm not allowed to connect to it because it's " Old Technology".

The ADSL I'm on now is going to be turned off so wading through the quagmire of Bullshit NBN connections to " Upgrade" . And... I'm still limited by the copper to the house from the Node.

    Complete and utter fking Joke.
