Thanks nfnovice, your right. Just found this in a Pli document:
"The major advantage is now that the Dreambox reads the info from SQL, the EPG data is available in Enigma itself, any ‘old’ tool that checked the Enigma EPG will have access to the data. With the addition of SQLite EPG database it’s now possible to have access to EPG for any channel as long as some tool gets the information from the web and updates the database."

Looks like the weekend will be spent putting Pli on the DM7000. :-o

just out of interest how are the channel mappings done, example 7 central in the .dat file (7cen) 133:69:3=7CEN
now if i do a streaminfo on that channel it says
    Name:7 Central
    Providerptus
    Video PID0500h (1280d)
    Audio PID:0501g(1281d)
    PCR PID:0500h(1280d)
    PMT PID:0020h(32d)
    Teletext PID:0502h(1282d)
    Video Format:544x576 4:3 25fps
    Transport Stream:0003h(3d)
    Original Network ID:0133h(307d)
    Service ID:618000h

how is that worked out? I assume the Network ID is 133 whats the 69 and 3 mean?
After some research, this is the format:

Original Network ID : Satellite Network ID:Transport Stream ID
All values in hex, and Satellite Network ID is 69 for Aurora and 1000 for Foxtel

thanks for your hard work on this. your setup instructions made this fairly easy to setup and get going.

I am using a DM500 with an NFS mounted share on a linux box to store the cache.

I think i need to do some stuffing around with my channel mapping to get the epg for every channel, but it seems it's generally working..

    thanks again

Thanks for your feedback scrappy - NFS mount to linux box - excellent

on channel mapping - I saw the othernight my two lifestyle channels were empty
so I went to plugin screen / oztivo / channels (green button) remapped them - next morning epg for those channels was filled - so not sure what caused it but easily fixed that time.
    cheers

I to had a similar issue with fox 8 +2, and also tv1 wasn't in the list, so i manually entered it remapped all perfect. using dm700 samba dm500 brilliant.
