Default No signal on new HDMI splitter - help!

Hi everyone, first time poster here.

I have a problem I can't figure out as I'm not that tech savvy, I bought a new 'XCD Essentials HDMI Switch 4 to 1 with remote' from JB-HiFi over the weekend because I own a Sony Bravia KD-65X7000E TV which only has 2 HDMI ports, but I have 3 devices which are my Foxtel iQ2 set box, Samsung HW-Q60T/XY 5.1 CH Soundbar and PS4.

When I connect all 3 HDMI cords into the XCD Essentials HDMI Switch HDMI IN, it lights up to indicate power is ON and I can select the inputs manually or using the remote but so far I haven't gotten the Signal light to illuminate, I then realised I didn't have a HDMI cord connecting the Sony Bravia KD-65X7000E TV into the XCD Essentials HDMI Switch so thought this was the problem, so I went to K-mart and bought a HDMI cord, but this hasn't made any difference. I have all 3 plugged to the switch into HDMI IN, while having the HDMI cord I bought from Kmart for the TV in the HDMI OUT, yet I get no Signal light.

Can anyone solve this for me? Got me stumped. Would appreciate any responses!

    Thanks - Simon.

Silly question, but seeing as you didn't mention it ...I take it you are powering the splitter using the USB->DC plug cord?

as above have you pluged in the supplied 5v power plug

If you have it could be that its not supplying the 5v required and will
need to grab a 5v plug pack

    Thanks for responding.

Yes, I have plugged in the USB cord. The splitter lights up the inputs to a green colour and power button as red, but no signal light?

    What's a PV Plug pack?
