so they will all end up in the tweed and surrounding area
full of oldies fun and games

It has been a shit fight crossing over for work and now
the ques are longer and frustration is showing

I would expect any Victorian, who has been based interstate recently maybe temporarily, especially with a car on vic reg would be having a hard time right now.

A million questions every where you went. Sure we expect to show the license if doing something wrong in the car but that's about it, this proving postcodes and things when out and about is all a bit new.

"Can I see your papers?" Where have I heard THAT before........
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

I have a mate that does a delivery run between Syd and Melbourne.
Is he supposed to quarantine for 2 weeks every time he comes back?

I don't have any problem with the Border with Vic being shut. It's not just about one state, it has ramifications for the whole country, population and economy.
This will set a lot of the return to normal way back and Push many businesses and people whom hung on the first time over the edge.
Given the numbers of infected in Vic, I think it would be irresponsible NOT to isolate them. I think it is Fking irresponsible to have ANYONE flying into the country, Resident or not. They have had enough time to get back now.

Perhaps under extenuating circumstances they could be let back in being tested BEFORE boarding at whatever country but that is far from problem free as well. There should have been a hard cut off for Residents returning and that should have been months ago. No reason for plane loads of people coming in now especially residents NOT citizens.

Saw something on the net last night where some ABC bleeding hearts were carrying on about the fact our Immigration is down and we re not taking in Refugees and the numbers won't be back to normal ( Fking excessive!) for up to 5 years.
Thank Fk for that! A terrible and inhumane situation for the ABC fktards and their supporters.

As if we have money to be throwing at MORE people Atm let alone all the people we have now. I think we are already far enough into the red without digging ourselves any deeper before we have even started getting out of the hole.

Lets look after who is already here like Families, Small business owners that are screwed and Retirees before we start worrying about strangers that require total and complete support and handouts.

Ive got to go Smogney via Coffs Harbor next week , how much extra time do you think i'll need for travel / waiting time on the return trip ? any delays heading South?
I looked at the QLD govt site about border passes , and i'm not even sure if I need one or not as I live in QLD and the car is registered here. Besides i'd have trouble printing one out on the road anyway.

it could ease up a bit by then but it took about 1 1/2hrs this morning
and will be worse later in the day. Best to try and time the trip so that
you are not passing the checks in the morning 8 - 10 and afternoon 3 - 6

just on the news now - a couple of confirmed cases from patrons at the Casula hotel in Sydney. Not that i'd ever go to drink at that dump but pays to be aware of where the next one will be.

Haven't been there for maybe 18 Months but they had done it up real nice. Very different to what it had been and like all the new furbished pubs a lot had been put into making it more of a club / family venue.

Went to a pub last Sunday arvo for a memorial get together with a few friends and there were only 2 other tables when we got there and they soon went and we had the whole dining room to ourselves.

Far as I'm concerned, there is nothing in QLD OR NSW I'd cue up for 2 hours to get in for.
I can see why there will be delays though, here on the mid north coast the traffic was heavy. Loads of people crowding into the service center and clagging the roundabout on and off the highway. Even quite a few in town.

Looks Like an 8 Pm departure from here next week to make sure I miss it all.
Be home by midnight which will is fine as long as I don't have to suffer the bottle neck at Hexam.

How the Hell the pacific highway can still be down to one lane between syd and Brisbane just disgusts me.

I have changed my mind Isolation is just a delay tactic so the medical profession is not over run The real thing to work on is the death rate as the infection rate has farcall to do with any thing but clusters Some poo pooed me when I said about the second wave So now they have been proved wrong . Now lets look at this sh1t a different way Who really cares if you are infected ???? Mum dad and the kids thats all . the rest of the country couldn't give a rats ass! only the media shit we hear about infections Not the daily death toll which is the rate that really matters the recovery rate dont even get a mention So its the media thats running the news and not giving the real oil on it . The real picture is not isolation the recovery rate will tell us the better facts as a ratio of recovery's to deaths and from my perspective the more recovered means those are the closest to being safe so the population is being done a disservice by a low infection rate when we need a high infection rate with a low death rate being the ideal situation for the country as a whole and it means a better economic outcome for the country and the sooner the better SO TAKE A BITE OF REALITY NOW

I'm seriously thinking of heading to QLD in the near future. A friend is heading there via Birdsville, I might tag along on the bike. Should have to worry about NSW then either.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
