NBN Co apologises for the disruption to Sky Muster satellite services today (Wednesday 5th August). Just before 9.30am AEST, NBN Co suspects one of its satellites experienced a natural radiation event – similar to an extreme weather event – and went into self-preservation mode to avoid being damaged. Natural radiation events are common in space and are known to disrupt a range of satellite services.
Services were restored just after 4pm AEST and NBN Co is continuing to monitor the satellite and services.
If you are still experiencing issues, please contact your RSP to lodge a fault.
NBN Co apologises for the disruption and would like to thank the community for its patience while services were restored.
