    Ummm....not sure if it's what you want.... is the AV input on the DVR a BNC video connector? If so, no....this won't be what you want ;

    Not to sure, I have used them for a wired camera in the past where I had some RJ45 cable in the ceiling, so I used RJ45 cable instead of coaxial cable and it worked using those adapters.

    Not sure with a IP camera though. The DVR might not identify it and assign a IP address... OR maybe what wotnot posted above might work.. /dunno.

    yes the input on the dvr is bnc, So I have a camera connected normally, I just wanted to change the standard camera to the ip camera using the adapter, but going by the diagrams nvr and dvr signal may be different.

    Haha, yeah.... I'm pretty sure you can create your own mental picture now --- what you want, is 'IP camera to analog video converter' or some such...I'm really not sure if there's much out there in this regard -- it's a bit of processing, going from the digital domain back into the analog realm =)

    edit: what the device you linked to does, is enable you to stick an IP camera where the analog camera was, and use the existing coax cable to pass the digital data along it...ie; no need to pull a new cat5/6 network cable =)

    why not use the DHCVi/Tvi camera? or if the DVR is older it won't support new camera anyways.

    Or replaced the DVR with a tri-brid machine which can take both CVI and older plus a few IP cameras, those convertors don't work the best therefore i wouldn't recommend.

    Hope this helps.
