that was over a month ago and it has'nt moved since, they must put it a cupboard and look at it now and again, what a joke it only takes 12 hours from china to Australia. what the $@#*

FWIW, I have 2 O/S purchases in a similar state of 'where am I?'

One is out of banggood, china parcel express, shows it departed country of origin, nothing more.

The other is out of Malaysia, on DHL, shows it left country...nothing more.

i get things from ali and bangood and the tracking is useless

all items take about 30-45 days for shipping which im am comfortable with
because i know before i even think about ordering.

If you are lucky, in your hand by mid November mark my word. Firstly never buy active devises from overseas. Your warranty is in China or Hong Kong, the cost of possible return exceed the original price paid making the warranty worthless. I got caught before buying cheap Phone and a Go Pro Camera, both were faulty factory rejects sold cheap because they know it cost more to ship it back than what you paid, and so you done your money. The adaptor charger is not SAA certified, Due Covid DHL,FedEx,TNT only accept Priority Express which is the most expensive service and even then it takes 2 weeks, there's a huge backlog in Singapore. There're no flights going so everything comes on FedEx and DHL own all cargo planes, The Chinese sellers book it as General express it will show tracking number. but has not been collected... I speak from experience.

I buy on eBay or Amazon, select Australian sellers, Prices are almost the same as Aliexpress, your warranty in Australia and you get your order within a few days.

Yes, the last mobile phone i got from Ali express said it was 13mp camera is was only 4mp the android version said it was 7 but it was 5.1 you can find this out by going to Play store and downloading "test my android" it will tell you all about your phone,
when i contacted the seller and gave him the evidence he refunded me half the purchase price.

I find as a general rule, things are cheaper off Fleabay. The prices aren't too bad, generally, on Alli but the freight can be stupid.

Alli and Bangood do have a lot of things that Fleabag does not have though.

I ordered a new screen from Aliexpress and it originally said 21-49 days, been over 2 months and tracking says left country of origin middle of august but nothing since, i think China is deliberately stalling mail/parcels to Aus.

Item ordered on Ebay for my son's birthday never arrived. Refunded by Ebay eventually.
Ordered a better item for a similar price on Ali and it arrived a little over 2 weeks later. Not only that, it came with the latest Raspberry Pi 4b, the 3b was only advertised.
    Everybody happy now.

I only order overseas when it is absolutely necessary, generally DIY stuff which I could repair myself if it is faulty. Australia rarely gets the interesting stuff or it is at least 3x more expensive.

I would never order a phone from overseas, compatibility issues, not returnable.
A locally sourced refurbished top of the range phone from 3 years ago is better than some new Chinese thingy.
No progress is even worth mentioning in the last 3 years anyhow, when it comes to phones.
Ppl come to me asking for advice about unlocked phones, I show them a local refurbished link for a Samsung or Huawei and they have all been very happy.
