Just did a straight swap with the ram for a 2018 trackhawk with 23000km on it.
I traded a 6.4 300 srt8 on the ram and really missed it.
I didn't use the ram for towing as much as I thought I would and it was a real pain to park, particularly in the city. After 5 years it was time for a change...
Just drove 600km in eco mode and got 12.5l/100km @ 114kmh on cruise.
Eco mode turns it from mental to slightly mad mode.
This thing is fun.....
Very nice to drive, you can actually drive it sensibly and it's an excellent long distance tourer.
Or you can twist the mode selector to the left into race mode......
And I thought my xr6 turbo sprint was fast....

Look Here -> |
Nice looking toy. Gas guzzler by today's standards. My Hyundai about halves that. Of course my Jackaroo, well, I'll say no more. nudge, nudge, wink, wink. (About the same as the Trackhawk ) My bike OTOH, averages around 5l to the 100km.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
Look like a nice car. I didn't know you could get trackhawks here but then again I haven't really looked into them. Those Rams are nice too but are big. There are quite a few getting round town here with the ford and GM variants
Fuel economy isn't everything and I'm willing to pay a price for Fun and enjoyment. Better than being bored and hating driving anywhere.
My bike averaged about the same as my VS Commodore. The later commodores would do far better than the bike. Wasn't worried about the economy so much as the range. 200K on a tank was definitely as far as you'd want to go.
My worked VK was a bit thirsty. Getting under 15/ 100 anywhere was good on that. In the city it could easy be 20+.
The 405 Peugeot Diesel was easily the best. 6l/100 fully loaded on the highway. Mate had the same car and thought mine was thirsty, he got 4.5L going to work and on the highway.
Neighbour reckons his wifes Quashqai ( sp?) gets 4L easy on a trip.
I'd rather pay the fuel cost and drive the trackhawk.
Although that said, the reason I have cheap cars is because if I had something like a trackhawk, I'd never be game to park the thing anywhere.
Never put a mark on any of my cars but plenty of other Fkers have!
It's near impossible here to have a nice car as a daily and keep it that way.
Had a fg boss 260 manual ute, a 315 super pursuit auto ute and the 350kw auto 300 srt8. All would do between 9 and 10 on the same run.
But it weighs 2.5 tonnes, so its not extremely bad....
Its a bit better than the 3.5 tonne ram, but much more comfortable.
Did i mention the fun part ?
Playing with race mode and 700hp around town ? Maybe 50l/100km ?

Mate had a Blown range Rover. Fastest Lounge room ever.
I think that consumption figure would be economical if one were punting the rangie around town.
Was a hoot to drive and sounded awesome but you could watch the fuel gauge drop between blasts offs between the lights.
I asked mate why he was selling it after only having the thing 12 months and claiming he loved it.
He said I'm only on $400K a year, I can't afford to keep fuel in the bastard.
I'm not a fan of the later Jeeps , ( i own a post war CJ ) but i'd have one of those Trackhawks if i could afford one There are loads of Youtube vids of stuff that the Yanks get up to in those beasts
Jumped in the fg xr6 turbo Ute today and did a run out to a mine site.
Passing a road train and floored it, hmm 'is that all you got?'
