Default Unable to print draft on Canon Pixma

    Thanks for replying Johnno
It's there but greyed out and won't allow the slider to move to draft.
I will try what you suggest. Many thanks

Check that you have the latest firmware...

Some info I had stored on this issue.

Go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES, then PRINT AND SCAN.
Click on the minus button to remove the current listing for your printer.
Check for the current printer driver
    Reset printer configuration

    Not sure if this helps..
Johnno, went to the link but I don't think it is relevant for me? We are on a Mac operating system?

I have 3 6260's. The draft setting comes up on the drivers for those but not on the 5000 series I also have.

Why would you want draft anyway? The ink it would save would be inconsequential. If you were that concerned, just buy some 680 aftermarket ink carts and put them in when you want to print something unimportant. You can swap out the carts on the fly with no problem and put the ones you remove back in.

Have you got the correct drivers downloaded from the Canon website for this particular printer?
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
