Hi, I've installed a few ColourVu cameras lately, just wondering if the light can be set to motion or at least a schedule? Problem being in residential or business that don't want light on etc. I'll check it out on the next few I do, but maybe people here have experience already. Cheers.

Edit - Looks like it has schedule settings, but why not have the light set to motion?

Yes you can have the lights turn on via a schedule.
You also can have the lights turned on via motion and schedule, eg. light on motion between 6pm and 6am.
However you will need the latest firmware, the older firmware does not have the light on motion feature.

Thanks, I will try the firmware. Settings had no option that i saw

You should try it, I was blown away by the night image after seeing one for myself.

The lack of noise is surprising.

I agree that they are good either with the LED light on or if street lights nearly.

But if it is in a dark area and you don't want the LED light on, I don't think the image would be that good.

Actually it's fairly good in the dark with LED light off. Just tried it.

My firmware is 5.6.2 and doesn't look like it has LED light on Motion.

Thanks for replies here. I'm yet to try FW update, but sounds like what I need. Residential installs with a light on at night is not a solution, however in commercial this can be good.
