    Default Noisy Fridge

    Just purchased a new Euro EF311WH 311L fridge and while the compressor seems quiet enough with the internal fan running it measures around 60db. We have an open plan kitchen, dining, lounge area and it is really annoying when watching tv.

    I have booked a service call. Is 60db acceptable ?

    Cheap chinese fridge, design is 3years old -- typical approach before purchasing such a thing ;

    Lesson -- when the product information -fails- to disclose operational noise level (which is the case here), you may safely assume the thing's noisy as buggery =)

    Old house and due to overhead kitchen cupboards (1500mm under cupboard) this was the only fridge I could find that would fit. ( over 300 Ltr)

    I previously had a Fisher and Paykel Active Smart fridge and after 6 years it was louder than the new one, seems variable speed fans and or controller need replacing

    Quoted : Callout fee $120 minimum plus parts Fans $100 each, Controller around $260 and anything else needed.
