    Default Dahua IP Intercom

Has anyone played with the Dahua IP intercoms? Would like some experience or tips.
Seems to work really well with easy setup. Bonus, can add door station as camera to Dahua NVR.
    Problem I am having is:
It will call phone when the phone is unlocked (phone open/screen on), however when the phone is locked, it just sends a message (notification) and does not ring. Have tested on iPhones V13 and 14.
I have only used it P2P, haven't tried port forward yet. Wondering if it's a known issue as supplier is not aware of problem. Thanks

What firmware version are you using?

Have you checked phone notification settings. I have had them ring on iPhones.

Just to update, got new firmware for intercom and works much better now. Phone can be off/locked and rings all the time now no problem. UI seems better also, more user friendly.

Also make sure the time and date are correct in the intercom.

Ended up replacing the Dahua that wasn't working properly with a HIK. Almost like night and day tbh. Indoor station actually mount more flush on wall out of the box (doesn't stick out like it's floating an inch off the wall). Still recessed it a bit though. Setup is a thousand times more user friendly, I think anyone could do it (even end users on their own tbh). Hik-connect app is less bloated than DMSS, and much more straight forward (less clicks to get what you want). Probably never go back to Dahua intercom, but will still use NVR's when needed.
