Hi i am wanting to mod my ps2 what would the best cheapest overal chip to use

would the duo2 be ok ?

just wanting to play backup etc

also anywhere i can buy a dvd drive motor ? as mine inserts great but doesnt eject very strong

I would say the modbo 4.0 would be your best bet.

The 4.0 is actually a good clone of the matrix infinity, which is seriously one of the best chips on the market.

39002 stuff , probably got enough gear here to make a heap of working machines and still have wheelie bin full of parts of that model

have you got some experience in soldering mate?

I'm with Clinton on this one, Modbo 4.0 is the way to go as VERY stable chip.

yeah mick i have done plenty of xbox's for friends never had one fail so this will be a little mission for me

ps2's are considerably more difficult to do than xbox1(an xbox only takes 15 mins). You'll see this when you do your first.

My recommendation to anyone starting out is to have at least 6 months of xbox modding( fulltime) under their belt before trying ps2.
