Default A95X - How to silent boot

The one thing I didn't like about the A95X was that during boot there is an "explosion" of colour accompanied with an "explosion" of sound. Director, Finance and Planning liked it but ...

The offending file is /system/vendor/etc/bootvideo. Simply copied it to USB drive, stripped the audio, renamed the file to bootvideo - ffmpeg complains if there is no file type for the output file - renamed the file in the A95X - just in case - and copied the new bootvideo file.

Quick test and it does not play. Hmm.
Check the file on the USB drive - plays. Hmm.
Check and note the permissions on the now renamed file.
Check the permissions of the new file - different. Easy fix in Total Commander to change the permissions.
Check the file - plays. Yay!
Turn the A95X off and cold boot - silence - bliss!
If Australia is a democracy why, then, is voting compulsory?

"What has changed between the arrival of the First Fleet and today?"
"Wearing leg irons is now not required."
