    Default SMD Identification

    Hello all.

Could someone identify what this small component is (link Below)? It is the square item with the white dot and upper case "A" printed on top. It is about 2 mm square and about 1 mm deep. It is on the mother board of a laptop and I think it has something to do with the various power sources. (+5v,+12v,+3.3v). I think it may be a diode of some sort but cannot find any data sheets or info on the web.

    Thanks in advance,

    John

The component with A/white dot is an inductor ; the IC to it's right is some tiny buck regulator, this might be the 3.3v standby circuit for power on etc
