Bosch CM255B module
Has any one been able to reset one of these or do Bosch / Digi Flex take them back for re-enabling?
Just seems a bit wasteful in this day and age to have a one time use PCB...

from everything, I've heard. it injects code and then clears the unlock code. I've never actually gotten my hands on one to play around but they look really simple. I just need the chip number off the board and id be able to do some digging

so after getting hold of a close up photo of one it would appear there is a MOSFET and Voltage Regulator Chip on them plus resistors and a diode that leads to nowhere. I'm gonna guess the mosfet feeds power in to certain pins loops them to clear the memory and trigger a reverse shock to the diode which makes the chip unusable. id need two a used one and a non used one to measure the resistance difference between the pins to see how it works properly.

Thanks az,
Thanks for the analysis there, ill check it out next time i get one. Do you think a protection cct can be added to the chip to stop it from getting zapped?
