Terrible performance from iPhone 6 Battery

This is more of a RANT than anything else. The battery in my iPhone 6 is complete RUBBISH....if I FULLY charge it overnight to 100%, it's normally at about 20% by about 12:30 in the afternoon. It doesn't take long to go flat after that. Even if I fully charge it before going out of an evening, it's often flat by the time I get back. I use low power mode all the time. Any other decent tips to help extend the battery life? I know they are not fantastic anyway being quite an old device now.

Open Settings > Battery > Battery Health. What is the percentage shown?

I only recently retired an iPhone 6 that was in use for nearly six years and still going strong. If the battery life is as bad as you describe, then something is horribly wrong. Most likely, the battery has died of old age. It’s also possible that a poorly written app is refusing to sleep and is hoofing through the power. If this is happening, the battery settings will show you which one is the problem.

Go to apple and get a new battery for $79

your battery has had enough - go to the mall phone repair shops and get them to put in a new battery - or go to apple if you have one close by

Apple released the iPhone 6 on the 14th September 2014 meaning that battery has possibly been charged and drained 2200 ish days
Heat is another killer of LiPo batteries (leaving your phone in the car in the middle of summer in Darwin will kill them very quickly)

I have changed over so many iPhones, iPads, Samsung's, Macs, Laptops dash cams........ and the list goes on
Typical issues for Bad batteries - they look like they Charge very quick, get hot, at 30% it will just randomly turn off and reboot, when it does conk out - putting it back on charge it will almost instantly show 30% again, swelling (screen will bow outwards), venting of battery - gives a really sweet smell, Phone does silly things - Video will cause it to reboot etc

it's an easy fix
