Default Connecting ONE speaker to a stereo/surround sound amplifier

I've got a HORN type speaker that I'd like to be able to use to play music from my home theatre amp outdoors. I know I can hook it up so it either has the left channel OR the right channel, but it's missing out on one channel entirely. How can I get it to have both channels mixed and played through the one speaker without blowing my amp up?

    Cheers, Gab
