Default Space Pacific Report amd misc material

    Hi everyone

For those who have an interest in historic Satellite TVRO otherwise called “the good old days”. I have collaborated with Bob Cooper of Satfacts fame (yes he is still around) to archive some of his old videos etc that he produced over many years.

Some members may remember a 30- 60min show that was aired weekly on Optus B3 @ 152e in the late 90s called “Space Pacific Report” which had numerous stories from Bob and others who were part of a small but enthusiastic Australian and New Zealand Satellite TVRO community of the time.

It consisted of 14 shows. Unfortunately even though I taped all off then, over time they were all misplaced or thrown out. Bob has some eps which have been transferred from ¾ tape to DVD but not the complete set.

Anyway I have created a dedicated youtube ch, were I am uploading relevant material as it is being converted. This may be of interest to some people.

If you have any archived Sat TVRO content that you may think is worth sharing or even some “Space Pacific Reports”, feel free to contact me either via PM here or satdxtvro@gmail.com

I have the ability to transfer most VHS content to either HD or DVD for conversion if you do not have the time or skills.

Please be aware, much of the content is random but is relevant to Sat TVRO of the time. A lot of the video quality is 1980/90s production, so don’t expect 1080p quality.

My main goal here is to try and preserve as much of Bob’s material and specifically SPR content as possible. if you have any old eps recorded also let me know. But other Sat TVRO content is still nice.
I will update this thread as more material is uploaded.

I must also thank the people behind the scene who have helped me with the production and editing of this material. You know who you are and thanks.

    More to follow.

    Cheers
