Default Disconnect outdoor siren, will alarm go off?

    Hi

    I got a Bosch Solution 2000

The outdoor strobe/siren constantly makes a clicking noise ever 10 seconds or so, so i want to replace it

It has a single screw on the front then i assume 4 screws inside securing it to the eave,

If i remove the lid and the strobe will the alarm go off? do i need to do a full power down including battery disconnect if i wish to remove it?

It will only go off if there's a tamper switch.

Depending how a tamper switch is wired, it may still go into alarm even if disabled, so yes, in that case, you would need to remove all power.

It might be that it is a 12 volt siren connected to the horn output which is supervised. This supervision has a slight voltage to it which might be causing the faint siren noise.
A- Connect a 3k3 resistor across the siren
B- Connect it to the Internal siren output instead
    C-Contact your installer to check.
