    Default Optus Oval

Going to the big bash today, corporate box, should be fun.....

22 minutes walk from my hotel according to google maps.

    Maybe longer on way back....

I have got a deal for you! Nice spot in the shade, next to a pub and a nice bit of grass that you watch growing all day and all it will cost you it the price of alcohol. Why would you go to the cricket to get pussed when you can do that in any beer garden a short stagger from home. Don't thank me.....

It’s an amazing oval. Not one bad seat anywhere - although if you are in a corporate box some seats are better than others.

There were rumors that it sinks a little bit each year. A mate of mine who was involved in the construction as an architect told me a fixed camera was used to measure it.

yes, very well designed. fairly steep, so all seats have a good view.
makes it seem smaller than mcg etc.
    excellent audio and lighting system.

That's Mark McGowans legacy, a footbridge over the river.
It's meant to resemble a snake, as an appeasement to those who were invaded and lost the war....

It was made in Malaysia but the work was so shit that it had to be fixed in Perth, costing more than the original dearest quote. 9

    So much for going cheap.....

The pinheads that rule over our lives never learn, same thing happened with the bridge to nowhere in Mandurah, cheeeep chinaman steel that was way under spec so $$$ had to be spent on strengthening the structure.........and in the 5 years since completion I thing its only ever had 4 ppl use it...........its literally a bridge from the choochoo station to nowhere

I mean ..........its just not the right thing to do...............employing AU workers, using AU steel and doing it right the first time, got to enrich them foreigners before we look after our own !!!!
