Example path?
I recently purchased a new "custom" system and it works fine but they have cloned the W10 O/S from their master copy and everything I do has their name in the path. I have recovered the username to mine and have admin privileges but their name still remains in all paths. It is just a source of annoyance for me. Can I get them out without a re install?

Are you just talking about things like computer name?
Get rid of wingewoes all together and install Linux, problem solved!
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
At a guess, check/edit in registry (using regedit) this entry;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\OEMInformation
Maybe machine-name then as mtv hints at ;
- Open Settings and go to System > About. ...
- In the About menu, you should see the name of your computer next to PC name and a button that says Rename PC. ...
- Type the new name for your computer. ...
- A window will pop up asking if you want to restart your computer now or later.
Else, in regedit, search for GOS6LRG
It appears to be a user account... administrator?
Have you deleted all user accounts, other than the new one you setup?
Do you have the actual administrator account, not just a user account with admin permissions?
Ahh... I think that's default username...
Press Windows key + R, type: netplwiz or control userpasswords2 then hit Enter. Select the account, then click Properties. Select the General tab then enter the user name you want to use. Click Apply then OK, then click Apply then OK again to confirm the change.

Partial success I guess. XGaming is gone from user dialogs and I remain the sole User/admin. So far the system is acting as it should after the changes. BUT XGaming remains under Users in the SSD (C file tree along with Default and Public (both empty folders) and still houses all system related data. It appears that the user there is not able to be renamed and I think even if it were I would lose all the data contained therein. I will content myself with this limited success until I save enough pennies to upgrade to Pro which I have on my laptops and find easier to use (familiarity). Then a clean install will rid me of this annoyance. Thanks for your help.
Yeah, windows registry is a truly sucky thing, and the only reason I know something about it is due to a few years working in/with the WINE project ; not to worry, as you're heading for a reinstall to Pro eventually, all this gibberjabber will be blown away and you'll be back to something you're happy with. They shouldn't really do what they've done during installation, but you get that =)
dont know if its worth a try but
go to regedit, hkey-local machine\software\microsoft\windows nt\ right click on the win nt & go find, type in xgaming
F3 finds the next one, change name of any that look related to username in windows
maybe you'll get the right one in a few goes, skip any program type names
